- Hill rise park getting tatty not too many users though. Local council leader still harping on how he provided it. It is quite a big one.
- my local school is very good it has many many stairs to sk8 if you are a biginner then you can use the two or three stair cource or if you are more expereanced you can do the twenty which no one has yet tried on a board there are planters and many many rails that very in size not forgetting the exellent benches so give it ago it is a good place two sk8 also the local ramps which include a spine ramp a death box a mini a 8ft quarter pipe and a 5ft quarter pipe and a soon to be street cource
- There is a new skate park in St. Ives and a wicked skate scene around anyway. We have one heavily sought after sponsored inliner and a few good skateboarders. If you get off the A-14 at the St. Ives exit and follow the signs for Houghton and past the Shell garage and a pedestrian crossing, there are some traffic lights; take a right there and go straight up past a junior school (Thorndown). The road then bends a little and around the bend there is a break in the trees, and a paved entrance on the left. That is hill Rise Park, where the skate park is situated. For the St. Ivo school, follow same directions as before but the street after the pedestrian crossing is the entrance to the school. Follow that straight on up to the top of the hill. There you will see the school, then just explore. There are around five handrails and plenty of steps and stuff. Even a massive flat area for flatlanding.
