The Best Things in St. Bees, Cumbria*

If you're around, be sure to check these things out

You can tell us more about St. Bees.

The Best Things
  • Meeting back in the queens every holiday to catch up on the craic
  • beach, open 24/7 . the natives are generally friendly and willing to trade
  • Heavy petting in a little hay shed off the path between Foundation and Abbots Court. Breaking into Grindal, the Girls house at the school
  • Going round the rocks at the beach in the heat of summer to get wasted.
  • St Bees is a pretty village with a lot of history; the sandstone cliffs are fantastic, with some antique graffiti carved around the accessible base. Regular arrival of Coast 2 Coast hopefuls in brand new boots and woolly hats - ho ho ho. Makes a good base for visiting the more isolated and very beautiful Western Lakes.
  • The Beach, cliffs, pubs, people and getting my washing down for free. Mitchels village store is also really good. Jan and Keith (the owners) are really nice and helpful.
