I want to do some geneology work on a Jane Johnson who lived in St Bees in the 1800's. Any suggestions? I believe she was probably a church member. Thanks!

My sister lives in St Bees. That's about the most productive thing I can think of to write about the village. Please prove me wrong.

THE NICEST THING ABOUT ST BEES IS THE DHSS (OOPS SORRY)MILBURN CARAVAN PARK---WHERE YOU WILL BE INVITED BY THE RESIDENTS, TO GET AS HIGH AS A KITE ON,CHEAP PLONK AND CANABIS--THEN MUGGED SEXUALLY MOLESTED,AND LEFT TO FIND YOUR OWN WAY HOME-NAKED,BLEEDING, BUT DELERIOUSLY HAPPY (ONLY JOKING)I THINK!

  • Re: St Bees by dibdabdub (Member 10054032) on 16-Jan-2002
oh! and i forgot to mention------(that the above) is the nicest thing about st bees-----but also nice about it is--the St Bees Head, where you can throw yourself off if you become so depressed by having to live in the place,
