Cinemas in St. Peter Port, Channel Islands*

Places to go to see the latest releases

You can tell us more about St. Peter Port.

Cinemas
  • Mallard Cinema - my lounge is better!
  • the mallard cinema.small but efficient.
  • The Mallard Double Bill - what a classic. Located in the middle of nowhere in 'The Forest' it stands as the epitomy of Guernsey visual entertainment. You get serious butt-ache from the seats, the snacks are SO overpriced, the staff wear a horrific stars and stripes shirt and you have to squint to see the screen as it is so small. However, it is home and it is a place where I have spent many a night wining and dining my dates. The proof is in the pudding however, none of the aforementioned dates ever went out with me! Only go here if you must. Oh yeah, there is Beau Sejour, but it doesn't merit anymore commentary then this. It is large, comfortable seats and cheap-ish snacks (all good so far?) but lacks an essential ingredient - films!
  • There is only one Cinema, its right up the other end of the island called the Mallard. Not bad if theres nothing else to do.
  • Beausie & Mallard. Both nothin special but u cn watch an expensive film wiv m8s.
  • The Mallard is the only cinema. Its tiny, the seats give you chronic buttache, but hey, its home. Also, was only meant to be a temporary solution after they turned the Odion into a carpark. There are now talks of putting a multicomplex in Admiral Park
  • Mallard Double Bill - don't even bother, you'd be better off waiting for it to come out on DVD.
  • wow 2 screen cinema, great..d'oh
  • The cinema at Beau Sejour has the largest screen but the latest films are late in arriving! The Mallard offers 4 small (tiny) screens if your desperate to watch the film
  • The Bowl - Ten pin bowling also pool video games and resturant.
  • The Mallard complex is THE cinema place. Shame it's in the middle of knowwhere though. However, before or after you eat your meal, go to the new restaurant Crabby's 2. Lovely food and atmosphere. Yes, Guernsey have a bowling complex too. The Bowl situated in the track, just by The Late Shopper along the Kev run. Good for parties and nice food too. Also have a video arcade and pool tables.
  • Guernsey doesn't have a dedicated cinema any more, but what it does have is a hotel in the parish of 'Forest' called 'The Mallard' which has a number of mini-cinemas. Also, the local leisure center, Beau Sejour, provides screenings of films on certain nights in their theatre (see the local press for details). Guernsey now has a bowling alley for the first time in about 20 or 30 years. I don't know the proper address, but if you ask any local to direct you to 'The Track', you'll be there.
  • Two cinema complexes - Beau Sejour Centre (excellent sports & conference facilities) also has a shared use theatre/cinema. It boasts a variety of live theatre, as well as the only BIG SCREEN cinema on the island. The Mallard Complex has four small screens - while it's not perfect, it does get new release films.
