Where to go to get down

You can tell us more about St. Peter Port.

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • Barbados - cheesy but free entry. Club 54 - making a name for itself now with some big name DJ's. Folies D'Amour - haven't been in years.
  • The monkey was a top club prob 1 of the best over here, 54 is good now to thay hav changed the music 4 the better, as for follies its just like an over sized pub not really a night club just a meeting place very dull, if ur after a dancey nite hit platnum in jersey the next thing to magaluif,
  • the moorings bar is good towards the end of the nite always know someone in there club 54 has just had a refit alot better now and u always know someone in there , follies is ok but it is so small and u end up getting fag burns all over ur body.
  • Barbados, Riva, Follies..... theyr all alrite!
  • barbados is a club and has live music at weekends, its not bad.used to be the monkey.
  • Well we have club 54 for the "REMARKABLY young patrons". Follies for the really party goes say ages 21 - 30. Then theres Barbados, for the old folkes.
  • Club 54 as previously mentioned on your site, Follies is dtill there, but the famous monkey has closed and is now Barbados! it's horrific, like chasers from the office, but it's free to get in and if you're drunk enough it is hilarious!
  • lots of friendly and interesting people are down in the village social club. its amazing down there. go check it out and ask for fuzz the owner. real nice chap
  • Club 54 and The Monkey - both very cheesy, and Les Folies des Armes is cool as f**k!
  • Club 54 is OK for the teenyboppering scene, and on Sunday they have a 14-18's night, but you must have ID for drinks
  • The Monkey has now closed...............thank goodness, Peaches doesn't exist any more either. Only Club 54 or Folies are left - both dubious
  • folies, followed by a pizza from (that good-old-fashioned Guern) Vlad. better to save your money and head for the beach in the summer
  • Local pub good for seeing a new band - good for a dance and a drink
  • Club 54 is okay if you want to mix with the 'younger' population. The age range is between 18 - 26 mostly. Folies D'Amour is notorious for its older clientele although there is a good mixture of 20 somethings and 30 somethings. They are forever trying to make it that little bit bigger because sometimes it gets so crowded that all you want to do is leave. The Monkey is okay, fantastic if you're into the 'rave' scene and one of the better clubs for original DJ's. But, watch out for the 18 year old boy gurning next to you on the dance floor, chances are he's taken something that he shouldn't have!!
  • can i just say peaches closed its doors a long time ago, i also think the monkey is the best club we,ve got, as for club 54 well ok if you like chart music ummm
  • guernseys clubs sucks, monkeys probably the best purely for the ladies.
  • RIP Peaches... closed down in 2001. No loss, really. Club 54 is now full of screeching 16 year olds who are "mad for eeeeeet!" Folies is good, The Golden Monkey is still a hole.
  • Folies D'Amour.....(one time!) Club 54 Golden Monkey
  • Club 54 more seating 2 bars one on each floor, Peaches Night club at the top of a steep hill but it's a change
  • OK, the 4 clubs in Guernsey are : Folies d'amour. Not a bad pub, as long as you dont mind getting 'friendly' with the people, by this I mean that the club is so small, its like sardine city, beware of fag burns whilst trying to plough through the crowd. This is. of course dependant on the fact that you get in or not, as the queue stretches a good fifty metres up the back alley. Dance music that never stops, but an unbelievably small dance floor. Peaches. Enough said. This is a newish club too. Handily located right by the police station, so don't come out throwing up a dodgy kebab and singing 'it's a hard knock life' at half two in the morning. Waking up on Sunday afternoon in a police cell is not a good idea. Peaches is probably the second worst club in the world. In a crass attempt to get more regulars, they decided to bring pole dancers in. Which didn't work, mainly because most of the pole dancers had more testosterone than the average male...definately more facial hair! The Golden Monkey used to be a haunt for more younger revellers, I can remember going in there most Saturday nights from the age of about 15. However now, they have toughened up on the 'younger' clients and it's strictly ID only now. When you get in, however, you realise the only people that are there are people who, shall we diplomatically say aren't quite just 'high on life', fine if ur into that, if ur not, you'll want to leave...fast! Saving the best til last, Club 54 (which has been extensively renovated) is the best club in Guernsey. However, peeps coming over from mainland or elsewhere may still be disappointed with the place. (When you've been to Creamfields what else can compare?) Good music, great atmosphere and you're bound to spot at least 100 people you know. Watch out also, for special promotions like 'Bucket Night'. They used to do a 'ladies night' too, where all drinks were free for women, but they have now stopped it.
  • The Monkey is one of the worst Clubs on the planet.
  • The Golden Monkey, Le Pollet, St Peter Port
  • Les Folies D'Amours, North Plantation, St Peter Port
The Worst club is
