Cafes and Coffee Shops in St. Peter Port, Channel Islands*

High tea and a sticky bun

You can tell us more about St. Peter Port.

Cafes and Coffee Shops
  • Lovin' the Rowan Tree Tea Rooms on Glategny Esplanade. Chilled music, awesome tea (I love tea!) and seriously tasty homemade Guernsey Gache (spelling!?), the local cake/bread thing. Yummy.
  • White Rock Cafe is great. I'll put the Cornerstone in here as well as they do a great breakfast.
  • christies is good they do a good hot chocolette
  • dix-neuf - nice french - ish brasserie in the arcade...
  • The olive tree is pretty darn cool
  • cornerstone cafe.
  • Dix Neuf, Christies
  • during the summer months from easter to the end of october Port Soif Kiosk is ace, the best chocolate fudge cake you'll ever get!
  • Pelican in town, Taylors, Riva, Christies.
  • Dix-Neuf and Christie's are the better of the cafe / bistro's in town. Other good options are Taylors, Pelican's, The Loft Cafe and The Terrace
  • st james has a lovely coffee shop, also L'Eree tea rooms in st peters... get a nice big slice of cake and watch the sun go down. mm... wish i was there now. for HUGE cake portions, head to Rousse tearooms. lovely, lovely staff & the cakes are out of this world (in size and deliciousness...!)
  • DO NOT miss out on Cobo Tea Rooms. They have the most wonderful scones in the world and their prices are very reasonable. The Thai Gardens which is in St. Peter Port is cheap and cheerful and has a wide range of food available from scampi and chips to really spicy dishes from Thailand.
  • All suck
  • Dix-Neuf - nice, French-style cafe (well, what English people think is French-style, anyway). Nice Elderberry cordial and brownies.
  • Guernsey Parlour, Croix Guerin in St Martins
  • Dix neuf, in town. A little brasserie with a lovely atmosphere and delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Don't go there if you wish to be served quickly though. It isn't unusual to wait a good 20 minutes before being served. Christies is also goos, pricey though, but in the summer it is lovely as they take out the window and you are sitting almost outside effectively. Another good one is the greasy spoon 'The Bridge Cafe'. Don't come here if you're a toff wanting a cappuccino and silver spoon service. Come here if you want lots of greasy grub at good prices. A real winner... However desperate you are for something to eat though..don't eat at the White Rock cafe. Unless you like your food under cooked and swimming in grease. The waitresses in there don't talk, they growl!
