Favourite Building in St. Peter Port, Channel Islands*
Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...
You can tell us more about St. Peter Port.
Favourite Building
- My old school- Elizabeth College - yes really!
- Savouy House
- Castle Cornet is so gorgeous, just sit at the bus terminus and look at it.
- victoria tower is lovely(and you used to be able to walk up it. in 2003, it was closed for building work. the key is available from the fire station opposite).
the eyebrow house in st peters (before it got knocked down)
- There's so many of these. Castle Cornet is one of my favourite I just wish that it could be done up so that it was more like Edinburgh Castle. The whole of the seafront is beautiful, apparently, coming into Guernsey on a boat and seeing the town front rising in front of you is awe inspiring and one of the most beautiful harbours in the world.
- The Pizza shop. its green
- Le Trepied Dolmen
- The Cock & Bull, Cornet Street
- Snail House - near cliffs at Le Gouffre.
- The imperial
- Castle Cornet
- There are some lovely old farmhouses in the 'more exclusive' parts of Guernsey. ie, the south, where all the people are rich and bigoted and prejudiced and overly proud.
- Sausmarez Manor, St Martin
- Castle Cornet - living history. Vale Castle - see the music section for the reason!
- Castle Cornet - a historic landmark situated at St Peter Port Harbour, it welcomes visitors by sea to the most georgeous place in the world to live (well I think so!). It's open to the public, and has a superb Maritime Museum, as well as hosting outdoor theatre during the summer months.
