- the billet but you are never allowed in anyway full of toe tapping old people
- The Wooden hut 24 High street has been putting on live music for a while now and seems to be keen to do more.
I have played there twice with my covers band and am playing there with my LEd Zeppelin tribute band this Friday.
You have to be a member or a guest of a member, but if S-L-H is as dull as some correspondents claim maybe they should join.
- Fatsurfer in Grays,(the working mans club) London Road, bit of a grunge club but very very cheap drink, and good place to go if you cant get in clubs. The grungers are a bit scary though.
- It' was Wrecked'em if you dont mind! And we were fabulous. A bit. well, ok we were crap but we did a good cover of 'the beautiful people' by Mr Manson and co. The best band was MAELSTROM! Where are you Billy Short??
- If there were any decent music venues in S-L-H I might not have moved away. It's an awful place to be a teenager.
- The old welcome club over the station before it burnt down was pretty cool..i remember seeing some old hippy groups there in the sixties..mind you i was only 6 or 7 so i probably spent most of my time running around and drinking too much coke through a straw!
- gotta be the billet in stanford..cos i did the sound there...shame its closed now
- Da Luna Club, which is unfortunately now redundant. Drinking alcohol, taking drugs, and listen to rock music where always high on the agenda here
- Well if Shell Social club counts. You could hire the town hall.
