- Having recently been into The Bear Inn I can only say the Bears Back! New Landlords at Christmas '08 made us so welcome, accomodateing our every whim, great food ,relaxed, fresher decor.Thank goodness we have it back open after months of being left unoccupied. The new owners have certainly picked up the pieces and roll on the summer for them. Well Done. The old reputation of bad service is behind you! keep up with the fabulous food The Bear was famous for!
- THE BEAR INN STOCK - NEW OWNERS IN THE WEEKS THEY HAVE BEEN THERE HAVE REALLY IMPROVED THE CAR PARK AND FENCED AROUND THE DUCK POND. ITS NOW MORE ATTRACTIVE AND SAFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN TO FEED THE ADDITIONAL DUCKS THEY HAVE BROUGHT THERE! MARVELOUS! LETS HOPE ITS NOT ON THEIR NEW MENU DUCK L'ORANGE!
- You need to update your info on The Bear as its under new management and they couldnt be more helpfull, food great, everywhere had a lick of paint and car park been improved.

- The Bear in stock.... Great food and great interior however the manager of the restaurant is unprofessional, rude , aggressive, totally unable to deal with customers and makes the visit to the pub totally unpleasant and unacceptable. The managers attitude and behavior is a total insult to the chef and owner of the establishment.
- The Cock is worth trying. Also it is the old pub in the village.
- The Bear has apparently been done up recently and goes that extra mile to accomodate people, even when it is busy although the beer prices are silly the food is excellent. However, the beer prices are silly throughout the village. The cock is a bit blood and sawdust, you can only get four people in the hoop and their real ale festival just clutters the village with hooligans. Don't go near the Bakers Arms. While the place and most of the staff are lovely there are some of the most arrogant, ill mannered, feckless wasters in the world on the staff and it ruins the atmosphere and your night out.
