• Glad to see Winston Walliss has been recognised as a local celebrity, guess that makes me one too cos he's my grandad! the names Dom, u probably know who I am anyway
• There bwas some obscure band called Inoocent Child I believe who gained a small amount of local notoriety in the 80's I think. Some snooker player used to live here and it was rumoured at one time that Roger Moore (I think) had been seen looking at property near Ewden
• Bobby Knutt (very dodgy comedian) Willie Thorne was once shagging a bird from here
• Comedian, Panto star and ex-Albert Dingle Bobby Knutt lives in Deepcar, along with his athlete wife Donna Hartely. I've also heard rumours that Emlyn Hughes lives nearby, but I don't know how true this is. The only other celeb I can think of is local children's entertainer Winston Wallice. Stocksbridge was recently beseiged by celebs, however, as the town was used as a location for a new film called "Dream". Celebs spotted include Joe "Matthew Rose" Absolom, Brian "It's a Puppet" Connely and Biff from Emmerdale Farm.
