- The Rugby Club and Peggy Tub are buzzin venues for putting on a party. yep, ad sum wicked times at both these places.
- Sometimes the Silver Fox has decent local bands playing and there are some really good local bluesey bands around that play the Pen Nook occasionaly. The Red Grouse used to have bands there too but alas no more.......
- Most bands playing Stocksbridge are of the WMC type, though Goodfellows (or the Coach as everyone still calls it) went through a phase of putting half decent local bands on, and the Pen Nook in dangerously nearby Deepcar has had a few bands on too. I think it's safe to say Eminem will not be playing here on his next tour.
