• the dubliners in thornaby is a must great atmosphere and great drinks and a short walk from the college and university great for a lunch time refreshment or a break up day or exam results mash up the booze is always great tasting and you will never have a bad pint and chances are you WILL pull
• Some of my family live near this pub, ventured in once when visiting them and its to be avoided! Dragon of a landlady will eat u alive...just seems to want the money but doesnt actually want you in there, bizarre!! Avoid!

• For cheap beer, lager, totty try Thomas Sheratons bottom of the high street. Tends to be a meeting place for the start of peeps night out.. Most of the actual town centre pubs have gone all posey, pay a fortune for your drinks, queue to get in, be crammed like sardines, thats if the doorman likes you.
• As an ex old Nortonian Why I should be refused service in a bar like Charltons with only 4 people in Because I had jeans and running shoes on (I am 68) When the no smoking ban comes in (like it is here in Canada) they will try to drag them in.A big thank you to the staff of The Lord Nelson in Stockton and for the Pizza and french fries at half time when the soccer game was on.Many thanks.

• I'm 13 and i hate stockton like mad. I am SO gunna move out. Stokcton is a grotty disgusting s***hole which millions of ugly annoying townies and way 2 many slappers. I HATE TOWNIES!!! Go home - read a book you thickos. They annoy every1 when people sud be making fun of them cos the girls (slappers) will end up preg at 14 and the lads will kill them selfs by drinking and smoking themselves into an early death bed. DAMM TOWNIES!!

• Zanzibar is the greatest youth club in the land, you're refused entry if you're wearing anything remotely classy and its a big no no if you're not wearing trainers/kappa tracksuit/vest tops.
• moby grape, blue lounge, fitzgeralds so a jug of vodka n coke for £6 wiked if ya on a budget n wana sit in a oldies pub listening 2 their war stories. moores is great 2 play pool or just get wreckd.

• Trader Jacks. Now running a regular comedy night called The Funny Magnet on the first Thursday of the month. A very good night out for only £2!
• Venture around Stockton and you will find some of the best pubs in the world. The Sun - old man pub or what!? The Green Tree - Walk in and let the haze hit you!

• The Talpore is a nice spot for a quiet night out. The American Cafe near the cinema inTeeside PArk is also good for a post movie bevvie.

• "The Wobbly Goblin"-(opposite the Job Centre, formerly the RAF club) does a great Alternative, Rock, EBM and Goth night every Friday with some good drinks promos. Saturday nights are quiet but there's usually buy on get one free deals on at certain times. A brilliant change from the Georgian Theatre + without all the kids. (Added: June 2003)
• Green Dragon Yard, great prices, great beer and real ales. Fantastic jukebox featuring everything from The Doors, to Joy Division to The Red Hot Chili Peppers. A must.
• Goldies bar, the place to be Call in and see us anytime, And be sure of a real welcome
• Thomas Sheraton for a cheap drink,but no music. The Royal Exchange and The Courtyard are worth a visit.

• If you want cold food and to be insulted when you complain then visit Wetherspoon's pub The Sheraton in Stockton. Don't bother complaining to wetherspoon's head office because they are not in the slightest bit interested. The guy with attitude is Scott McDonald and believe you me he has certainly failed his customer care course - that is if he ever went on one.

• Emporium has an excellent range of entertainment all during the week, ranging from kareoke to Live bands on thursdays!But i went in recently and they also have a wicked funky house dj on a thursday when the bands aren't on and mondays! the drinks are dirt cheap(like everywhere in stockton) defineltly a must!

• the garrick is very good to start of in on a big night out. u r guaranteed to get legless as drinks are only a pound on fridays. has good music and fairly good atmosphere. but the drawbacks are that it tends to attract pervy old men so watch out girls!! and it gets a bit packed to the point where u cant move so get there early and leave early!

• The pub called the Sun Inn ath the top of the high streeet is the only place in Stockton with decent beer and will let you stand outside if your 'ciggarettes' are to 'smelly'!

• Emporium is good on kareoke nights plenty of atmosphere.cheap drinks.Also a very cheap place to go is the Thomas Sheraton pub.It gets packed with all sorts of people.shame there is no music.
