- hmv is a good one in welly sqaure good selection and quite cheap and even more awesome for the spotty desperate geeky types who find it impossible to bag themaselves a lady friend or too poor to pay for one as they do crappy softcore porn

- For the best in collectable records CD's you should go to the Record Fair at nearby Middlesbrough Town Hall which has been running for about 25 years & is held 6 times a year. It is usually on a saturday between 10am & 4pm but there is always a Christmas fair which is held in the last week of the year. Remaining dates for 2004 are Saturday September 18th, Saturday October 30th & Wednesday December 29th. 2005 dates will be posted as soon as they are available. These fairs are usually attended by about 20 dealers from the midlands & the north which records, CD's, Videos, DVD's, T-Shirts & Music Memorabillia to suit at ages & musical tastes. - go to boro for music its five minutes away and theres about 6 decent music shops

- The old Record Mart used to be amazing - but shops like Woolies and MVC superseeded this classic. Loads of shops in Boro and Teesside Park etc

- flea market for dead cheap cds of dubious condition and quality .Red hot chillie peppers For £3.
- Billingham once had a half-decent record shop but this closed down in 1989 as
the owner wanted to live somewhere else. People now have to travel to HMV in
Middlesbrough to obtain outside of the Top 40.

- Has to be Austins in Boro or Alan Fearnleys on Linthorpe road
- There is a new record store in Stockton it's called Essential Records, it has various vinyl from House to Acid to Hardcore. It also has mix tapes. The great thing is you can buy food, read magazines and chill out on comfy chairs or at a table.
- Tracks on the High Street for a wide range of music and they still sell 7"!! The Record Mart - second hand CD's at good prices.
