• Cheapest food and worth your money is probably the chipper (Sandy's). Lazzio's is expensive

• sandys is the worse chip shop ever,over-priced over-cooked. The so-called manager is a fat middle-aged man, who is very very rude. It better when he's not there.
• SANDYS is the worse chipper in history, poor staff or no staff rather. The chipper needs a good clean, the rats love it!!! watch out for the big-earred loony who will try and seduce you!!! We need a Macca-D's or the King to come to town.
• The Chinese at Brickfield. Best in Stoney despite it's location. Changes name every 6 months to avoid tax.

• The Haven wasn't actually the honest birthplace of the deep fried mars bar, when my grandad owned the Larnach chipper, which is now a chinese take-away, my dad and his brother, who were teenagers at the time, used to deep fry many sweets including mars bars. They just never advertised or marketed it as they never realised there were so many people out there that wanted to die of a heart attack at a young age :)
• Tollbooth Restaurant in the Harbour. One of the best in Scotland as I am concerned. Great food, atmosphere and service.
• Mmmm,sandys is a chip shop,the best around adn theres a sandwich shop opposite the more store,its so tasty,its all fresh,bagettes,paninis and all other kinds of things.Try it,the prices are reasonable too!
• When O when is Stonie going to get a McDonalds????? I cant cope coming up from Glasgow for my 'holidays' and having to survive without McDonalds!! Is the nearest one not all the way in Aberdeen!!??
• Theres 3 chippers in stonehaven. Sandys has the best food by far. Definately the quickest service out of the lot. Bervie Chipper's food is not bad (not as good as sandy's) but the service is awful! It's extremely slow and the staff have an attitude problem. The Carron is the newest, but defiately crap! Food is ok, but the service is horrendous and the manager is a complete idiot! Only good point is if you like being sleazed on it's the place to go. Actually now I come to think of it, thats not really a good point at all!

• Carron Fish Bar, Bridgefield. Now the best chipshop in Stoney (previously Haven inventor of the deep fried mars bar, Stonehavens contribution to Scottish culture. Still available at Carron fish bar; if you must!)
• The Bervie Chipper!!!! Definately the best! (not that I'm bias in any way)
• Visit the field of dreams - Known to locals as Somerfield. Some of the lady workers there are tasty!!!!!!!

• The Kebab shop is a fine take away, most likely the best in Stoney to be honest. Nice pizza's, nutricious donner kebabs and fine BBQ chicken kebabs.

• Marine Hotel, quite nice food but lacking in hygiene, the staff are all dirty, filthy people
• No good restaurants. Take aways are always busy and frankly not the best. chinese is quite good

• Plenty Chinese take away & chip shops. Hopefully a McDonalds soon in the old Spar (or so I've heard)
• Three very lardy chippies - should keep your heart surgeon happy. Bervie Chipper and Sandys hopelessly over-rated. The Haven is at least the honest birthplace of the mars bar supper (and the twix, crunchie etc) The Tollbooth. Excellent seafood restaurant at Harbour. A la Carte is pricey, but Sunday set menu very reasonable

• Sandy's chipper. Officially north east Scotland's no:1!!!!!!!!! the County; it's highly under-rated
• There are more chip shops than the Haven in Stonehaven. Sandy's Chipper opened a larger takeaway with a restaurant as well, and serves the best chips in Scotland. They also have a web page and you can even order your supper on line @ www.sandys.cc

• The best of chip shops. The Haven: on your left as you head into the main centre of town from the south. Does loads of different types of pies and tons of other stuff, including the legendary Deep Fried Mars Bar.
