- There are many pubs in Stourport, so I will only mention my selection! I like "The Bird in Hand" as you can sit by the canal on a summer's day, and indoors by the fire in winter. They have always been friendly and welcoming to me and my family, and I just like the fact that the place still feels like a proper pub! If you want to just pop for a drink somewhere and don't care about location, then "Brindleys" offers a large space where you can remain inconspicuous...oh and they serve my favourite wine in the area! "The Old Beams" is used to new faces, as they are near the "Tourist Zone", and it is a friendly enough pub, with outdoor and indoor seating. Dogs are allowed inside and out, but I always ask before bringing the dog inside - only polite!
- They're closing on a weekly scale! The Swans gone (hooray) The Steps gone and I think the hollyBush.
- the crown is very cheap nite out but full of kids . the hope an anchor is great to go 4 a drink .but i must a admit i ant been in ther since 2006.bar st martins is agreat pub to go 4 a drink an a chat
- The old rose & crown, worcester rd,ask your mom the truth Ben!!!!
- Try the Bridge on fight night for a great nights entertainment
- New Bar St Martin, New place to have a fight! started off good but now it's full of gyppos. There's alotta trouble both in and around this place! be careful just walking anywhere near this toilet!!! Talkin of toilets this bars toilets are so small and overflowing you can't get in wearing flares! It shows sport on its tvs but the real sport is the boxing every Friday and Saturday night live courtesy of its punters.
- various pubs bridge street and york street
- les left the bird in hand over 12 months ago it is now being managed by a serious drug abuser, pop in any time to witness this.
jamie left the Black Star nearly 2 yrs ago.
The severns club is now a free for all called the outback.
Stourport is now an un-policed free for all town where all drunks and drug abusers are welcome. PS if you enjoy drink driving please visit stourport as there are no police to correct this activity.
- the tontine pub is nolonger open.
there is a new wine bar called "st martins" in york street, atracts all kinds from your old wrinkles to your baby faced youngsters, gets quite busy on a friday and saturday, could do with more bar staff owened by a very short guy called "MARTIN"
The hungry house is no more and has reverted back to its old name the 'old crown' its a witherspoons so cheap bear and food
- the bird is underrated... but if your after a quality night out... your in the wrong town
- The Lord Nelson and the Tontine no longer exist. You will be hard pushed to find one decent pub in this town...they are either full of retards or sell dodgy beer. Go to Bewdley.
- loads all round
- The best pub is weatherspoons, the crown for cheap drink and food and its in a good location
- the wetherspoon and the one opposite one by co-op
- the wetherspoon and the one opposite one by co-op
- THE BEAMS-only cuz of the fit barman...john murdoch!
- my local probabl the swan
- Try the Bay Horse on a Sunday night, fabulous cheesy disco, however, no-one dances but its damn good for a sing-along and cheap beer. Hoorah.
- For all you underagers the bird in hand will not serve you (honest, wink wink...)
- The new Mano has just been refurbished.
- The Kings Arms is Great! V. fit waitress on a saturday night-make sure you tip her a lot!!
- the tontine is no longer open
- Libertys - pop in for a quick one or do the kareoke on sundays!
The brintons - Bit posher
The Black star - Cosy
- In the Bridge Inn the size of the clientele seems to be directly proportional to the amount of cleavage on show behind the bar. The devastating loss of Anna 'BOD' Deeley has led to a dramatic decrease in sales of 99p red square, and a mass exodus which no pub in town has escaped from unscathed, as thousands of parched punters have descended on the town's other drinking holes whose doorsteps are clogged with human scum.
- The King's Arms in Areley Kings for a quiet pint, The Old Beams for old times sake, The Old Star for being the best in town.
- Erm... I dunno. Just look around.
- The Lord Nelson, The Bell, and The Tontine have all gone :(
- MY UNCLE OWNS THE SQUIRREL AND THE HOPE!!! GO SHAN! GO SHAN!
- dead
- Well I could tell you all the pubs, but even though they've closed down a couple, i'd be here all day telling you.
- The Old Crown is now a Weatherspoons.
The Tontine has closed & The Bell is about to close soon.
- the shed
- All the pubs in Stourport will serve you. No matter how old you are or how you are dressed, as long as they make money they don't care how their customers look.
- The Bridge situated strangely enough on the bridge is one of the best places to go,
closely followed by The Outback.
- The Bird in Hand (speak to Les he's great)is by the canal very nice.Black Star, speak to Jamie he's not a bitter man. Beams, a nice big pub, a reasonable night. The HollyBush is alright. Right now I'll list them. Anchor,Hope and Anchor, Bridge, the Crown, the Rose and Crown, the Rock, the Stagborough Arms, the Swan, the Brindley, the Brintons Arms, the Wheatsheaf, numerous ones up Areley the Ferret or something.
- as above + the bridge, and the old rose and crown
- Oooh, The Old Beams (when it was kickin) The Steps, The Swan, The Station. Stourport residents (and ex-residenta) are accomplished drinkers, and famous across the UK.
- The old Severns Club has now changed hands, major refurbishment, open to the public with 2a.m licence of Friday and Saturdays.
- The Rising Sun. My dad used to drink there, nice oldies pub.
- Try "The Brindley" if you're old, "The Steps" if you're young and anywhere else if you're drunk.
- The Tontine, Large, excellent Riverside spot, especially nice in summer.
- Hungry Horse, Also by the river, but near to the town too.
- The Bridge, opposite Hungry Horse, gets busy.
- The Manor, large, locals mainly.
- The Brindley Arms, named after James Brindley who built the canal system, recently refurbished, family pub and resaurant, good food, nice location and large beer garden.
- The Steps, a favorite amongst many people, small landlord very friendly, good beers (Free House) and excellent (and cheap) Char grill resaurant.
- The Anchor, large but friendly, Karaoke nights often.
- The Titton Inn, out of town a bit but small and friendly, next to main road so motorists and locals (from farms etc).
- The Bay Horse, good food, locals mainly.
- The Old Beams, riverside location, large, good beer garden, tourists mainly.
- The Squirrel, old pub by main road.
- The Brinton Arms, large local pub, by main road.
- The Hollybush: this is a very quite pub nice if you like silence because chances are you'll be the only one in there.
- The Swan: part of the Hotel, pleasant enough the most expensive around a bit of a thirtysomething pub.
- The Angel: again part of a hotel. I haven't been there for years but I do remember that there is a ghost haunting it.
- Blackstar: apparently the local gay pub but still a nice place too drink by the canal side. Usually busy.
- Bird in Hand: another canal side pub, very local. Expensive and altogether shite really, there isn't even a jukebox.
- Lord Nelson: do not go in here, it is a dive. There is a two scar minimum before you can even get in. If you're looking for a fight, chances are you'll find it here.
- The Hope and Anchor: old not particularly nice.
