  • the hockey club is very good untill sum1 burnt the club house down
  • There is a sports centre run by Kinetika, with a Gym and swimming pool. They run fitness classes and offer personal training. Also in the town is a Sports Club (not to be confused with the prementioned) which is home of the Harriers (local running club) and Stourport Hockey Club. There are plans for a Netball court also...definitely a venue on the up, despite its recent fire which burned down the main building. They need the support! There is a Stourport Rugby Club, Boat Club where you can learn and train to row a kayak. There are a couple of riding stables - Stourport Riding Stables has a good reputation, but is only available for children. There are plenty of places nearby to kick around a ball (Riverside meadows by Bridge and Lickhill Memorial Park), and there are tennis courts near Lickhill Memorial Park, but don't expect there to be a net necessarily!
  • The Sports club has just been burnt down by a 19 year old chav!
  • stourport swifts a pretty good local team cheap an cheerful to go an watch every other sat
  • Wilden Cricket Club ; it is with the utmost sadness i bring you news that the club was very badly damaged in a fire in february of this year. The cause of the fire is still not known, prrrrrrrrp!!! Not only did the club have to close, it's now the 10th of July and the work to refurbish the place hasn't even started!!! We want our club back, NOW!, so whoever's in charge of putting things right had better hurry up before we take it into our own hands and start our "Hurry up with our bliddy bloddy club wilya" campaign and bring the Government, Custom's & Excise, The Lord Mayor's office, The Office for Immigration, The BBC, Housewives Choice and that little shop up Park street.... to it's knees! The thing is once the club has re-opened, it's going to be even better than before! Honest! I think! The club will be transformed into a magical, glittering, mouth-watering spectacle, awash with the finest decor money can buy. Plus, they're buying a new lawn mower, a battery operated one. Blue i think. Ahh yes, we shall soon be sat at the new bar, watching Chango dribble down his tank top. Alice and Nic will be counting the money that's been taken from the clubs new £5million jackpot machine, 2 goes for 5p. Jimmy, Jade, Kirst, Jess and Jason will be rehearsing their next show to be staged on the clubs new "state of the art" stage. The show will be a full production of a musical based loosely on the great "Les Miserables" but the main character will be changed to that of Kirsty and Jimmy's real dad, Chango. The show will be called, "Le Miserable asshole" and will be produced and directed by the brilliant and charming Tracey Berrows. The whole show will be recorded and played back on a weekly basis through the clubs new "State of the art" mini cinema, with seating for up to 750 people and 1 camel. All camel's must be out of the club before Gary O' realise's it's to late to order a curry. The new "State of the art" car park will hopefully be finished shortly, with parking available for up to 75 cars, 10 coaches, 9 vans, 8 motorbikes, 7 pushbikes, 6 pushchairs, 5 go-carts, 4 horse n carts, 3 little pigs, 2 Tonka toys and 1 sheep, for Chango. I must admit i can hardly wait, but alas i'll have to!!! Goddammit!!! So there ya go then, hopefully see y'all soon, have a good summer and take it easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Yer we got a sports center. Glades in kiddi is better.
  • stourport sports centre by the old beams pub
  • not a lot, the hockey club is supposedly like premiership or something, but who cares? the gypsy's do bare knuckle fights
  • Wilden Village Club has now been re-decorated and is now, errrrrr, a different colour, on one of the walls, but the clientele is still it's same old, affable, amusing self. A merry mixture of young and not-so young, intellegent and not so bright, from the the "very pretty" to the "i feel sicky" and the "drop dead gorgeous" to the "drop dead will ya!" The delightful "Alice" is the club's manageress and some people truly believe that her husband, the demonic "Chango", is magic. It has to be said that he does have the ability to make the smile vanish off the face of all who see him, he really is quite a horrorbag. The truth is the club is now an excellent place to hang out.For people of all ages who are interested in all the various sports on offer. We are also occasionally treated to some excellent shows which are staged by Alice and Chango's highly talented children Kirsty and Jimmy Chamberlain along with their very close and also highly talented friends Tracey, Jess, Jade and Jason Berrows. The "WEST END" comes to Wilden. Bring it on!!! The club also has a massive tv screen to watch all the top footy matches on Sky sports etc.. especially all the MAN UTD games cus they're always the most entertaining. It also as the comedy channel so the Liverpool,Wolves and Baggies fans can also sit and watch their teams, lose, again. The club does have a great Man Utd following and there are one or two Wolves, Villa and WBA losers too. Of course they'll be a couple of Liverpool fans sat in the corner colouring in there stolen copies of "Burglars Weekly". But don't let that put you off! Wilden Club is now "THE" place to be seen.(unless of course, you're one of the aforementioned scousers having it away with a pocket full of toilet blocks!!!!)Come and meet us, have a drink, you'll love it !! Unfortunately, the much anticipated Javellin catching team has had to be abandoned. The reason we are told is that only one person,"Jem Jones" had put his name down for the team of catchers, alas this wasn't enough, although, we did have a staggering 600 people willing, nay, determined, to through at least one javellin at him. The first 150 being ex-wives and girlfriends of his! We do hope you can join us, it will be a joy!
  • yes high school hockey football so man teams in the area and rugby is goods too
  • theres a football club called mostyn rangers but thats ayouth one but thre is a bigger adults rugby/football club near the back of swimming baths by one side of the bridge
  • river bombing off the brige seems to suit people in the summer. highly dangerous
  • High school field is always good for playing big footy matches
  • umm... there's a big field.
  • the Wilden Village Cricket Club, wilden top rd, stourport-on-severn. the club now as extremely good facilities including floodlights and plays host to a number of teams of varying sports, such as... football, cricket, darts, pool, cribb, jet-ski-ing, sky-diving and underwater clay-pidgeon shooting amongst others. It is also trying to start it's very own Javellin Catching team.(bags Jem Jones for capt!) The club itself has a warm friendly atmosphere and is well known locally for it's many weird and wonderful characters. These include. "Bear" with the amazing wobbly legs, "Kirsty" with the amazing crooked ears, "Lucy" the smallest, perfectly formed person known to man, with the biggest gob this side of the planet, saturn!(she could bring an aircraft down from 60 paces!)Then of course there is "Sir Gary O'" the best guitarist his bedroom's ever seen (and that's a lie), no-one cares and no-one needs him, the only trouble is everyone feeds him! We also have our very own "star" in the making. Stand forward "Sir Jimmy of Chamberlain !" Yes, he is the only son of Alice & Chango (apart from Kirsty, but ,wait a minute, she's their daughter? ha ha, so i was right). The young Mr.James Chamberlain has already starred in many stage shows and tv ads etc..etc.. not least , just finishing 12 months appearing in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at the London Palladium. He as also featured in the last few months in adverts for Sainsbury's and Snak-atack and is now preparing to play a part in one of this years Biggest Blockbusting films ! Go Jimmy GO !!!!!!(that's not the name of the film you understand) So then, why not come and have a drink with us at the Wilden Club and see if it has anything to offer you. We did, so there.
  • Football on the river park. Hockey at the field by the high school!
