• This town has a carnival every first weekend in September. I stopped going to see it about 10 years ago, as it turned really dire. My mother used to work with the local Jazz Band (The Severnsiders), who only ever managed to win the carnival band competition once in the 20 years they have been going.
• Full of brummies at summer bank holiday weekends, so come some other time for the real sites. If Bewdley is too busy, Stourport is less busy and much more welcoming. Pubs are more relaxed, but traffic can be a problem.
• Stourport Rugby Club Young club founded in 1993. Now runs four senior sides and a ladies team. Starting to run juniors as well.
