  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get rid of the charity shops and get some decent shops!! P.S- Dont go to stow vets for dog grooming, they rip you off, go to larlings poodle grooming, round the back of the pet shop on the high street. They actually get the job done well!!! xxx
  • Yeah, are there any hanson fans in stow, or is it just me?
  • the druggies hang out at stow high behind the scienc block, or they catch a bus to needham and get stoned and sleep under the railway tunnel. what fun! on friday nights gangs hang round the rec and round chilton primary n all the little shops round there. there are a few nice places in stow. i think...i er..havnt actually seen any but im sure there are some. somewhere. tucked away.

  • People in ipswich seem to bevlive that to get to stowmarket you need to drop your car off and claydon and get a horse and cart into stowmarket. they seem to belive that the currancy is stones not pound sterling and that gas and eletic is a new thing to us. Well get off your butts get the 88x to stowmarket and check it out it's not that bad.
  • well just cum c 4 urself its pretty um whats the word dull
  • What this town need are some decent shops. The market needs a total rethink - how about low-rent market pitches for local residents? There must be glass painters, wood workers & the like who could sell quality stuff & make stow a bit more interesting? A record shop is surely overdue?? And the existing shop staff need compulsory lessons in window dressing so that the stuff they are selling is properly displayed & doesn't always look like a load of crap.
  • All the fat chicks.
  • Just a word of warning for all those health concious people out there. After filling up with calorie laden booze to aid entertainment on a weekend you may decide to fill the body with food to aid recovery and provide sustenance to do it all over again the next night. If this is the case please remember ...AVOID the Chicken and Kebab shop mayonnaise AT ALL COST.
  • Stowmarket = 'ho - market, slowmarket road from highstreet to motorspares carpark= piss alley Jokers = hokers typical stowmarket phrase... A:are you Jokering later? B:Unfortunately, yes

  • HELP US!!! I've been breathing the air here now for a year and I'm afraid I might be infected with stupidons!
  • Severe lack of lovely ladies, well apart from the ones your mates have been thro,Nice web site barrysbuddies most amusing you might reconise a few peps then again you might not,STOWMARKET BORING TO LIVE THERE LOVELY TO VISIT
  • Some of the people in stow are twats but most of them are just out for a good night and no trouble.
  • If you are coming to Stow to shop - expect only one shoe shop, one video shop, no town centre fruiterers, no decent clothes shops, no nice little arty/crafty type places. There's one hotel and a plethora of no right turn signs that seem to have no logical reason for their prohibitions.
  • Stowmarket wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for half of the population that live here.
  • The Snooker club is excellent. Events range from bingo to the occasional gentlemans night. And that doesn't mean old croonies playing snooker!!! There are 8 tables and usually you don't have to book. There is also the Mid Suffolk Leisure Center which has a large swimming pool, gym. sports hall, indoor cliff, squash courts and Arena the pamper palace. It also has an outdoor allweather five aside pitch and tennis courts. It is a bit expensive but the facilities are good.
  • This place could be very good if certain issues where addressed. 1) removal into prisons of the Stowmarket Scum (I notice several have already begun to make their way there) 2) improvements on services - clubs, cinemas, shops etc. 3) demolishing cherry tree road and similar areas.
  • the lack of nice lads is a tad annoying!
  • The sadest thing is that there are practically no web sites, there are two or three, and one of them is the stow health centre.
  • Stowmarket is a little market town in the centre of suffolk UK. There are all the usual facilities to be found in such a place as well as an excellent leisure centre (tel 01449 674980 for more info on this). Stowmarket lies directly off the A14 trunk road which makes access to other parts of the UK easy and fast. We have the ferries sailing to the continent just down the raod in Felixstowe (well 30 miles down the road). London outskirts are 1 hour away down the A12/M11 etc.
  • Stowmarket is a great town where everybody knows everybody. It has wonderful facilities for entertainment..... namely the PUBS! When I lived there over 12 years ago there were 15 pubs for the population of 8000 people. That's one pub for every 533 drinkers. That's not a bad ratio is it?
  • OUR CONTRIBUTION TO ENGLISH HERITAGE IS "THE MUSEUM OF EAST ANGLIAN LIFE" WHICH BOASTS A SUFFOLK PUNCH (A HORSE TO THE IGNORANT)AND A FINE SELECTION OF PLOUGHS - CAN'T SAY FAIRER THAN THAT
