Hookup Spots
- Perfect Blend, The Rookery
- Best not head for chariots... unless you're hoping for an anal invasion of the gay kind... ;)
- At the bottom of Woodbourne Ave. Right next to the posh infant primary school. Prossies everywhere. They're all munters though
- Just a comment - left Dunraven and Streatham in 1959 - for USA - am fascinated to read about all the eating places now available. In MY time we had some pretty genteel tea shops, plus Pratts dept store, and ABC tea shop...plus a couple of others of no real consequence. I remember The Greyhound pub but nice young ladies didnt patronise much back then. Ill have to get over there and check out the current scene!!!!
- so were have all the prostites gone ............and ill go there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I love Streatham it has great restuarants including a rare vegetarian one called the Eholemeal and lots of green space, but the pubs are a bit rubish. I only go to the Pied bull. We need a skatepark, I have heard that Lambeth might build one on Clapham Common. This is great news but what about on Streatham Common. I am against this Tesco thing the traffic along the A23 is bad enough and we already have Sainsbury and Safeway.
- the internet cafe behind the libriary is pretty cool (if a bit expensive)
- OUtside the Odeon on the HIgh Road. P{enty of room and big steps to it on. Packed during school holidays.
- The underpass by Streatham common Station has some really fresh art work by the youngsters or, on the bridge there's a great view of the tracks going off into the distance...
- The reference to Potters Pool and Snooker Club is a bit cheeky. The backstreet position of the Club may be 'seeeeeedy' but inside it's v smart and v trendy. I and my friends would like to think of ourselves as having certain standards and whilst many old-type snooker clubs are stinky and dirty, Potters is not among them. Anyway this listing is in the wrong category
- 'Crack Corner' - outside Flames in Mitcham Lane.
- Potters Pool and Snooker hall, seeeeeedy but DAMN good pool tables!!
- Furzdown park (behind Graveny), Amen corner, Streatham mega-bowl.
- Megabowl- South London's finest bowling centre
- Outside "Flames" on the Mitcham Lane
