  • Not sure how to feed information to you but.... On June 16th the outstanding Andre De Moller & his Blues Band are performing at Ex Services and Working Mens Club. Andre's Band are proffesional musicians from London and have just finished a tour of the former Eastern Block. Andre has just moved to Dedham and is building a performance base in this area. Also another local young duo, A.I.R are performing on 14th July at the same club. Thier website is www.air-music.co.uk . A.I.R perform some of the clasic songs from the 60's to present day. I hope this is useful, please let me know if you are going to publish.
  • Edens hosts local teenage bands, the local Upper schools often host different events. Newly formed sudbury music collective, is a group of people tryintg to promote local music and set up gigs. Often hosting one gig a month on the 3rd friday.
  • The Swan, Long Melford has live bands every 1st & 3rd Saturday night each month. (Plus other dates at times, like 27th May duing their Beer Festival.)
  • Sat 18th Feb - MORPHEUS live at The Swan, Long Melford Sat 4th March - THYTHM TRADERS live at The Swan, Long Melford SEE: http://www.melford-swan.co.uk/entertainment.html
  • The Swan in Long Melford now has live bands every other Saturday. Rhythm Traders are there on 4th March
  • the grapes does music but thats in bury, the junction but thats in cambridge! theres that black horse on east street in sudbury thats done some band nights punk/rock stylee! the oak has too thats in sudbury aussi.......but thats about it, the kings head did once but then some neighbours got sticks up their arse and the landlords left!
  • Quay theatre keeps a good calandar of events, get some great bands like Sudbury's very own "Rubix Monkey".
  • I think Chelmsford holds the V festival so that is the nearest place where the big bands play. Little gigs happen all over Sudbury at random times.
  • gig on 5th december hooked up by us bmx guys, get there if you can, local punk bands,etc,etc £5 advance sales only. delphi social club. and quay theatre deserves props for being a cool quiet place that basically has beatles tributes.

  • The Royal Oak after its refurbishment now has live music at weekends of an idependent rock type. The Bay Horse on Melford Road has cover/tribute type bands. The Ship and Star is now closed
  • Try the pubs and of course the local theatre (the quay)! Enigma and Easterns often hav live DJS and other acts including - daniel bedingfield, Dennis G, and Distant Soundz
  • George and Dragon Pub in Melford. Near Suddas! Look out for live bands every Wednesday night. However if you like room to move, avoid it at all costs. Look out for the Rhythm Traders - great music!
  • The Oak - but no one seems to frequent there anymore, there used to be some brilliant live bands, also the Ship and Star!
