- Mark Storey. Eternal tale teller.Well known in Hastings Hill for his ability to stretch the truth.Top guy!!
- I think the guy known as 'Jimmy Jesus' or the 'Billy Connelly lookelike dude' has died.
Well thats what i heard today. Don't really know if it's true. (14/03/07)
- Dave the Rave
- dave the rave - that boy is hardcore! can often be seen around the town in any bar with a dance floor, surrounded by a crowd of cheering admirers.
- the Sepector. but hes dead. he was called Brian
he dressed used to dress up as a victorian ghost.... creep... but i think hes dead now cos this was like years ago. But when he wasn't creeping everyone out he painted ships.
- the Gypsys that hang around outside burger king/tucci/halifax (Market Square) "would you like to buy a lucky charm" errr no. then they apparantly curse you as you walk off.
- Jimmy Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Saw a bloke once in the market square. 'The silent tambourine man'. Had to be seen to be believed.
- Charves they are characters in there own little way. The way they assault you when you are outnumbered 4 to one and you are holding something important. Also the way they shout sweaty and goth at ppl who obvously dont wear bondage and get a bath more time than themselfs. And not forgetting the way they talk sounding like a broke kazoo or a duck being strangled and the rendition of skater boy to try and offend a sk8er even though they are within a safe running distance of 1 mile cause if confronted the mouth goes and they turn into a 100 meter sprinter.
- the guy who hangs out under a bridge that goes across the a19 in herrington although i think helives in middlesbourgh
- taxi Q outside beach every Sunday morning 2am !!! - Charva central...
- Jimmy Jesus is a legend, Often seen wandering around s/wick & marley potts !!!
- Jimmy jesus is cool a bit cracked up though
- The only 'characters' in Sunderland are hideous, incestous, cider drinking charves that pollute society with their violent ways. I feel sorry for any student that is brave enough to even think about studying in Sunderland, as they will probably be knifed for polluting the gene pool.
- Dave the rave! the face to see in any club! You'll know him from the rest - he'll be raving to any music, including S Club...
- Bob the parkie in Mowbray has a grudge against skaters and loves setting the old Bill on them.
- Drumers, flame jugglers, bands, comedy many of street entertainments at night and also during the day.
- whilst strolling around houghton keep an eye out for a young lass in a red p reg fiesta if you see her make sure youre standing where you cant be hit and warn others around you
- the charva's...theyre incredibly fun to laugh at with there 'like how's' and 'ner na's'
- Dave the Rave - Sunderland's notorious freelance street & club dancer - will dance for a pint of blackcurrant juice - he has been sent by GOD Himself to dance on the streets of Sunderland
- what about Bobby Knoxall ?Not only is he funny,he is kindand a real Trooper!!!
- there is sumtimes a bum who sleeps in the bustop and gets kicked to fuck
- MEEE!!!!!!!!! u can find me at central metro station singing "we all live in the yellow submarine"
- The rat man who walks around with his hair all matted together. Biggest bachelor in sunderland if any of you ladies is feeling randy.

watching the hawkers flee when the police arrive.
