Can anyone remember the disused public bath that used to be just outside Sutton Lawn near the entrance at the Garden Lane end, back in the 1950s? It was white tiled as I recall, and was always full of old hedge clippings and other rubbish. I believe it was at one time serviced by a natural spring. And often hovering nearby was a local character who used always to be pushing a wooden handcart full ... more >>

Recently purchased the old co-op on lucknow drive fronting coxmoor,believe it was last a co-op mid 80's and since been used for tool hire but been empty for about 3 years,just opened a childrens designer clothes shop her and any pictures no matter age would be appreciated...

    YES, THE ACTORS GOT DIGS WITH MY AUNTIE FREDA HURT AT 80, LEEMING STREET, I APPEARED IN THE CAROLL LEVIS SHOW THERE IN ABOUT 1948, BARRY TOOK WAS THE COMPANY MANAGER AND COMPERE

    There was three discovery shows on tour at that time, Carroll Levis,
    HughieGreen and Opportunity Knocks, and a fellow called Brian Mickie who often played the Granada Cinema Mansfield.

    I APPEARED FOR THE WEEK AT THE PALACE, THE WEEK OF THE CORONATION 1953. IT IS ONE OF MY MOST TREASURED MEMORIES, I WAS ON A NUDE SHOW, AT THE AGE OF 12. AT THAT AGE AND IN THOSE TIMES, I WAS SWEET AND INNOCENT, I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO LOOK....FIRST. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT ALEC COLEMAN, BUT THE E'MAIL ADDRESS IS DEFUNK....TONY GODFREY
