  • Miahs on St Helens. Best Indian in Swansea. Try the Orange Bombe for dessert - it's to die for.
  • fab cheep home made food swansea market...loveley veggie restraunt the retreat humphery st or govindas round the corner from skin and ink...
  • Antons on Wind Street - Lush Food. Not overpriced, but a bit nicer than the "pub grub" offered in that area.
  • numerous baguette shops in the arcade, swansea market has lovely bakeries and fresh seafood (the cockles are lovely) and go up around the student village for really nice take aways
  • Just walk around a bit, swansea is full of 'em.
  • The saigon in townhill is nice!
  • Warm welsh welcome and home made food. Ambassadors Hotel in Neath - why not stay there after a night out in Neath or Swansea - or even spend your evening there - weekend entertainment, home cooked meal and a lovely room to relax the night away. www.ambassador-hotel-neath.co.uk
  • There's a great Bistro/greasy spoon on Port Tennant Road called SEASONS. The owner is a chef and makes all the food herself, hence the bistro title bit, but the prices are that of a greasy spoon. Great atmosphere, all walks of life in there with super nosh!
  • The New So Bar Restaurant, catering for all ages and tastes.
  • BELLA NAPOLLI!! ITS DOWN WIND ST BUT THE ITALIAN WAITERS WILL TRY IT ON! U NEVER KNOW U COULD GET A FREE MEAL GIRLS!
  • Sizzles Cafe - at the top of the High Street. Greasy spoon, open 24 hours, perfect at the end of the night. Top tip - order the Big Boy Breakfast - full of cholestrol and may give you a heart attack, but after drinking over 50,000 calories in alocpops, you don't really care do you?!
  • le cafe and the village dinner in union house (the uni) and HSV respectivly
  • GJ
  • Joes Ice Cream
  • dito
  • Any pub that sells steak and chips for under a fiver, and sells carling extra cold.
  • Jubo Raj in Morriston
  • PIZZA HUT
  • IF U WANT SOME CHOCOLATE OR GUM GO 2 THE POSTYS WEEKLY COMP AND LOOSE ON PURPOSE
  • check out Govinda's Vegetarian restaurant on Cradock St (off Kingsway) - scrummy food, mellow atmosphere, and you can even pop up and check out the Krishna temple upstairs for a meditation session.
  • The Uplands Cafe is quite simply the best place to eat in Swansea. The 'Beast' breakfast has to be seen to be believed. Includes, 6*slices of toast, 6*bread and butter, 4*sausages, 6*bacon, 4*black pudding, 4*fried eggs, mushrooms, beans, chips and a cup of tea or coffee, all for a fiver. Phew. They take your photo and hang it on a Wall of fame if you eat it all.
  • Mcdonalds, (although i wouldn't reccommend it), Burger king, loadsa curry houses on St Helens Road, take aways scattered about the kingsway.
  • the good catch in pontardawe do the best pizza's in the world (even better than cardiff!)
  • La Baguette Du Jour, it has style and a great reputation 4 good food
  • Takeaways: Naz on Mansel Street serve really good Bangladeshi cuisine and you can watch it being prepared. The prices are good and the staff are very friendly. The China Garden on St. Helens Road do really good Chinese food, but it can be pricey. The Gold Finch Chinese on Walter Road seem to vary every few months between very good and not-so-good. Avoid the Chinese takeaway next to the Smokin' Dog in Brynmill like the plague though. You have been warned. Chippies: The chippy on Duke Street is pretty good but easy to forget where it is next time you try to find it again. Mr D's in Uplands are very good for portions, T's & M's on Humphrey Street at the bottom of Constitution Hill do awful fries but the burgers are decent and there's a nice atmosphere in there. The best chippy by far in the vicinity is over at Port Eynon on the Gower. Very, very good :-) Restaurants: St. Helen's Road has more Indian restaurants than you could possibly imagine (it's also home to Joe's Ice Cream). Some are better than others but they're all good. Sadly I think the Mongolian Barbecue on the Barons Roundabout has shut, which was a shame because that was absolutely fantastic.
  • plenty of food but u have to lend chris the king marshall a porn film before he cooks some fine dinners...i know one lucky diner who loved the dinner..her name was nicola farnworth and i forgot the one who ate all his food was kelly thomas
  • caffe angeletos best food in swansea
  • The Wild Swan on orchard street for cantonease!!!
  • disagree with remarks about the dylan thomas?swansea enterprise park''' very very poor meal and service.
  • There are about 4 Mc donalds in the City centre. But ignore them, and go to cafe Mambo, with a fine choce of mexican cuisene and Cigars. top marks. also the pizza hut is good, but the sweetcorn is too watery......
  • Swansea is the spiritual home of the kebab
  • Never go to Alamins. It will give you the shits. If you happen to visit mumbles on a Saturday, don't go to Ahmeds (next to the Seaview) as it will also give you the shits.
  • spanish-brasaria wind street (no pun) italian-pitza versuvio-limeslade
  • Monkey Cafe ...........fantastic place........
  • If you like kebabs you can't beat Kings Diner, I've even enjoyed one from there while sober! Their pasty & chips are stunning aswell. Clydach has a wicked selection of Take-aways aswell
  • Joe's Ice Cream is the finest ice cream you have ever tasted. A reason to visit Swansea on its own. A frozen version can be bought in shops, but is nowhere near as good as the stuff they sell in their own shops. There are only 2 places this can be sampled (and get a large one). 85 St. Helens Road, Swansea, and 524 Mumbles Road, Oystermouth, Mumbles, Swansea. Bagette de Jour is a bit poncey for a sandwich takeaway shop, but the food is very good, and fresh.
  • St Helens Rd has 2 MORE curry houses and must now rival Brick Lane for Choice!
  • ROSSIS CHIPPY. NEATH ROAD, LANDORE........ MMMMMMM
  • Pierre Victoire - French , on Wind Street
  • St Helen's Road links the Kingsway clubs and Brynmill where many students live. Kebabs, burgers etc abound. Slowboat an excellent Chinese restaurant. Vegetarian/wholefood cafe at Heyokah Centre; excellent; also stock so many teas they no longer keep a list, just invite you into the kitchen to look! Annie's Kitchen (Guildhall end of St Helen's Road) exceptionally good cooking: set menus only which change regularly. Prices are very reasonable for such sterling food.
  • Lots of chip shops and Mac type things. No good shops near to University. The Slow Boat's good, if you like Chinese. Don't forget the little Kebab hut, opposite the big glass ice-cream place in Mumbles, which is open v. late, when the clubs have kicked you out. (but he doesn't have Popadoms, if you have an awkward girl-friend who demands them at 3:15 in the morning, PHIL !!)
  • Kebab shops on the Kingsway.
  • Al-Amir's Juice Bar on St Helens Road!! Excellent Food, friendly staff and brilliant value.
  • The Dylan Thomas (Millers kitchen) on the Enterprise park is a great pub for a meal with the kids in tow. Did you know about the FUN DAY on August 30th.
