  • www.crowleysrockbar.com Check it out! Just off the Kingsway, by Steak By Night/round the corner from Skin'n'Ink and the Escape.
  • ESCAPE!!!
  • time in swansea is crap it always has been. bouncers are ok but expensive come on! £3.50 a drink! best nights are thursday and saturday. dont go on a friday or ya'll get townies on u like flies to sh1t and thats not to mention the mingin dancers who think youll hav a good night if they gave u a chuppa chump to suck like a naughty 6 year old. the dj scott golding is the only reason i go there ha ha hubba hubba..
  • Face/Off at escape club...every friday night - a dive full of an eclectic mix of the most goffic of goffs and indie emo geezers....drinks cheap...and if your lucky some staff think a 'bourbon' is a jack...so you get it for super cheap. The office....everyone knows the officve..its a nice place to be the staff are friendly and the loos are clean...just watch out for the setees in the back...they're alive. The inferno..uplands...god knows how mnany local bands play thwere on a yearly basis but you can almost alkways be garunteed a good night..atmosphere in that club often gets cool as. For those who are 'underage' theres teen spirit which runs on mondays once a month in escape...got to teenspiritclub.com to find out when the next one is
  • Go to teen spirit. you will meet tones of totally fab peeps, but watch out for the invading mushes. some have escaped from time and envy since 4 year olds are let in.
  • Time!Under 18'sn on tuesdays every other week!I would advise you to check it out its great!ages 10-17 and tickets are only £5!
  • maybe not techically swansea but the countryman pub's club in scurlage on the gower
  • it has to be TIME!! hot totty for the ladies!! BARGAIN !!!!!
  • Time, Envy, Barrons, Escape, Top Banana, Jumpin Jacks, Quids in.
  • If you are horrible and a clart then you needs to go to Zanzi's innit? If you are not horrible and not wearing shit gold then you go to Escape on a Friday for Face/Off - a rock/metal/alt. night, which is OK. Cheap entry, but smells of piss.
  • time is cool as is flares on mondays (student night). rumor has it (as does their website) that cinder (pier club) in mumbles is generally frequented by 14-16 yr olds at the weekend
  • The skatepark next to the old lesiure centre by Quadrant
  • Get up to the Student Village and blag/force your way in to "Y Bar". 1.45 a pint. Drink up quick before security use your head to open the door.
  • Escape Time & Envy
  • Escape (they also do a rock night, Face/Off every Friday, and an under 18's rock night, Teen Spirit, once a month), Time, Jumpin Jak's, Uropa, Flares, several others. All on Kingsway.
  • All the ones on the Kingsway, but a nice one in Mumbles is the Pier, formerly, and famously known as Cinders. Romours flyin about that its closin down tho.
  • lest think time if u like that dance shit but escape which holds teen spirit evey other tuesday the site is www.teenspiritclub.com where the best punk and metal is played
  • I would like to refer to the statement concerning BARON's about people leaving thier drinks i would rather someone take my drink away than going back to find someone has put the so called date rape drug into it and its probably the best venue in swansea try it you may like it.
  • Every month (fortnight in the summer hols) Teen Spirit at Escape. Strictly under 18s. Rock. Face Off every Friday (students on Monday)- Indie and Rock in Envy. Just walk down the Kingsway and take your pick. Also, if you need ecercise, go to mumbles - lots down there. Lots are clubs are easy to get into stoned, pissed and/or under aged.
  • EScape and TIme are the main ones they're crap though
  • Escape has to be the best club in town...go there wearing what u want, as long as it isnt too scruffy or with an overly shit-causing logo(i.e townies must die). Everyone is great in there for some reason ;) No abuse or grief from townies..as long as you can handle the doof doof music, its the best night out.
  • When I used to live there, Central Park was the place to go, that still threre? Haven't been back in years. Cinders and neptunes were pretty good down Mumbles.
  • Escape - particularly good on a friday night. Cinderellas, pretty crappy unless ur a youngster.
  • Time is rubbish, monkey bar is far better
  • All the clubs on the kingsway are shite! They are full of attitute ridden townies. Go to cardiff!
  • Escape
  • face off/escape every friday night, rock room and indie rooms.. great ppl
  • all shit. the rock and fountain in Newton kicks ass on pub quiz nite
  • If your up for a good time, going out and getting 'totally off your tump' Escape is the place to be on a Saturday night. Give it up to Big Al!
  • jumping jakes worst club ever rude staff beer expensive bouncers frightening
  • When will anyone realise that between the last pub on the mumbles mile and Cinder's there is a shortage of alcohol, sort it out someone, please.
  • Avoid Cinders at all costs if your over 17!!!!!!!
  • Escape. Friday Night. FAAAACE/OFFFF. GO THERE. You could never wish to meet a nicer group of people. I mean it. One room Caters for Indie and 60's and 70's alternative sounds, While the other is balls out Metal. And the chill out room is boilering. Everyone sweats like a paedophile in a nursery, all night, but nobody cares. In the summer, we have huuuge beach parties after it, Which rocks also. Just Come. And leave your baseball caps and loafers at home.
  • Jumpin Jacks. The in place for all bored house wives, mothers and saturday night slappers
  • Cinders <------ World Class. By far the best club in the Swansea region, especially if you want to pull some young slags! They even have a shemale as a bouncer. Guaranteed fight every Saturday.
  • Barons- don't put a drink down and go to dance as it will not be there when you go back. Not stolen by other drinkers but by the glass collectors. If you try to get it back the rotweiller of a manageress is rude and obnoxious, even if you have only just bought the drink. This happened every time we went so have now boycotted it.
  • Swansea gay scene now located at H20 (Formerly the Waterside), in the marina. The old Palace is now a straight club. There is also another reasonably new addition to the Swansea gay scene in the form of the Exchange bar on the Strand.
  • dirty dora's-that should be interesting-
  • Escape Cheezy House Ritzy'r, Cheezier House Zone or Rocket as some people now call it, Indie on thus ans Sat + Cheap booze and bad music on Fri
  • Spacebase, amazing hip hop club, barons on a wednesday, student funk night, cafe monkey.
  • Neptunes Closed in Feb 1999, Now an Italian Resteraunt H2o in the Marina is now a Gay Club. The Palace is now NOT a gay Club.. Garage on Saturdays and the Ever Popular Yum Yum on Fridays
  • space base friday nights.
  • The Zone - Thursday night is metal, Friday and Saturday nigh is indie - it may be a dingy little shithole, but that's what makes it what it is. Te atmosphere is amasing. Baron's, second floor, Wednesday nights Funked up, plays seventies stuff. Many students here. Monkey Cafe have a hip hop thing going sometimes which is pretty cool, And spacebase below escape play drum & base on a Friday.
  • The Zone, Indie, Check out The Indie Thing, Saturday Nights, (indie Alternative) In Yer Face, Thursdays (The Rock end of Indie + Goth and Industrial) Fridays is commercial Indie and (sometimes) live bands Barons Funked Up on wednesdays is a great 70s Funk Night!
  • Neptunes in the Mumbles does not exist anymore
  • The Zone by the railway station, if you want an indie/alternative night. Friday nights have some decent up-coming bands on these days
  • 90% of the clubs are on the Kingsway. Kingsways bears a startling resemblance to the Bigg Market scene of Newcastle: everyone descends on it from miles around. Don't walk down there on your own in a leather jacket; a female friend was beaten up there. Definitely trendy-zone. Gay scene centres around the Palace down by the station. Upstairs at the Zone does goth and industrial stuff in an atmospheric venue. (Huge round tables lit by candles at one end of the place)
  • best clubs to avoid local pissheads and unfriendly doormen are Escape, Jubblies and Uropa (upstairs)
  • If you're in Swansea, as well as Cinders & Marthas, don't forget to try Neptunes (Mumbles)- Sat nite is best- If you're a bit of a townie, then I suppose Ritzy's or Baron's is worth a shot. If you're looking for something a bit quieter or perhaps posher?, then there's Adam's Rib.
  • The best place for a good piss-up is Mumbles I suppose. Do "The Mumbles Mile"(making sure that you don't miss out C.J.'s, The Nab's Rock, The Antelope and The George.) then end up on the pier, completely pissed, at Cinders and they'll still let you in (& you don't need any I.D.) Oh yeah, & if you're under age, you'll probably need I.D. for Neptunes/Ritzy's, especially on Saturdy night. If you don't really know the place, & you want to go clubbing, then head for "The Kingsway". There's loads of Clubs and Pubs there and so you'll probably find something that you like.
  • Another good night out in Mumbles if you don't want to hike to Cinderella's or Neptunes (which is even further) is to go to Bentley's. It's just as tacky but is right in the centre of Mumbles and it is only a quid to get in on Friday nights with a quid for beers.
  • Cinderellas (Mumbles) on Friday Ñ lots of young girls. Friday is Techno night in Marthas. On Saturday Marthas goes off: good music (rave). Thursday is alternative night at Barons. Thursday = punk, industrial.
[1997:] Martha's does not exist anymore.
  • Thursday night at Icon on the Kingsway.
  • Escape, best Saturday night in Swansea, the atmposphere is amazing and with a fluffy room and a hard room to choose from, what more could you want?
