- My favourites are the Java Caf' in the arcade, Cafe Mambo, Coffee Cesso in the arcade, Gershwins and Tiffany's. The Uplands Diner is good for a hangover.
- starbucks.
- I would like to update a comment which states there is a lack of Internet Cafe's in Swansea and Mumbles.
Red Dragon Surf Limited have recently opened an Internet Cafe at 4, Woodfield Street, Morriston, Swansea. SA6 8AQ We have 10 workstations, Broadband Internet, LAN Gaming. Hot and Cold Drinks together with a large seating area for people to meet. Our web address is www.reddragonsurf.co.uk which has full information on services and prices.
- La baguette d'jour is looovely, erm blue bean if you want to be a poser...elio's is pretty good and the gallery cafe in the middle of the quadrant is perfect for people watching.
- If you like starbucks, don't go to the one in swansea, it's dark and dingy. Go to baggette du jour instead. same sort of price, betta choice, betta view, betta decks.
- There's a great Bistro/greasy spoon on Port Tennant Road called SEASONS. The owner is a chef and makes all the food herself, hence the bistro title bit, but the prices are that of a greasy spoon. Great atmosphere, all walks of life in there with super nosh!
- LA BAGUETTE DU JOUR, BUT ITS EXPENSIVE! U CANT BEAT MACCY D'S
- GH
- One in the market do an OK bacon roll!
- The Environment Centre has a fair trade cafe and the tables are made out of used cable drums. There's a selection of eco magazines and a spiral staircase in the middle leading to a turfed roof.
- The cofee den, exept we were chucked out fo spillin cofee everywhere and bein to loud!
- every where to many to mention
- Starvin' Jacks have two cafes in the town centre and provide very nice food with a pleasant atmosphere. My favourites are the huge salad they do (token effort to be healthy) followed by one of their scrummy desserts (to make you feel sleepy for the rest of the day).
- COSTA Coffe's nice, and Marks & Spencers. Bit expensive. Downstairs to Bon Marche (old peoples shop) is a good caffe, also shoes and 60s/70s shop.
- The Uplands Cafe is quite simply the best place to eat in Swansea. The 'Beast' breakfast has to be seen to be believed. Includes, 6*slices of toast, 6*bread and butter, 4*sausages, 6*bacon, 4*black pudding, 4*fried eggs, mushrooms, beans, chips and a cup of tea or coffee, all for a fiver. Phew. They take your photo and hang it on a Wall of fame if you eat it all.
- La baguette du Jour - two venues, one opposite the bus station and one outside of Castle Square. Monkey Cafe - very nice, gigs are hosted here too.
- try cardiff
- community resourse centre "the cafe"
- go down to the beach cos there is one not there
- cant beat dolphin hotel hot chocolate to die for
- If your looking for posh studenty places then places like Cafe Mambo on the kingsway and Cafe Gelato on high street are for you. But places like Eleos on the kingsway and Tiffanys off oxford street are really nice and cosy.
- The Black Cat near the Grand is a good bet
- strudles besides the dolphin hotel, years with my mam and nan mid shop as a child (jerseys for goal posts...)
- Monkey
- Upstairs in the Quadrant lies the perfect cafe for you hungry voyuerers. Watch the 'beautiful' people of Swansea trundle by below, as you dig in to eggs and chips and a cup of coffee, all for a reasonable price.
- The seems to be a lack of cyber cafes in Swansea and Mumbles, and also a lack of laid back places to chill out without alcohol. What I can't understand is why no-one is doing this? (I would if I still lived there!)
- The Black Cat Cafe is nice, but trying to understand what the Italian
owner is saying can be a bit tricky. He seems very friendly though, and
the food is good and covers the full range from all-day breakfasts to
proper Italian food. Very mixed clientele, including lady shoppers,
workmen and a young gothy, punky, hairy crowd. Close to the bus station
(Singleton St.?)
- try Monkey cafe. Avoid all the new trndy euro style cafes. They are ll owned by the same corporate scum.
- Cafe Boogaloo (open Fridays and Saturdays) above Hobos - Seventies kitch, sells HOT RIBENA at 30p a cup! \Monkey Cafe has the mostamasing food, vegetarian, vegan and for meat eaters, (this place is AMASING : The food is tasty, the staff are also tasty... What more could you want?) And The Black Cat, opposite the Grand Theatre is always filled with Students on weekends, so that's one of the places to be seen.
