Legends.
- Bob Anderson, darts player lived in swindon. My Dad was in his year at School... Suposidly he was a very good at javelin throwing, guess he picked something a bit lighter to throw instead !!

Mark Hayden Smith, based his book in Swindon, 'The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nightime'. George Churchward, town's first Mayor, was the chief of the GWR at the same time. I believe she used to live in Commercial Road - that's what my dad said anyway. I'm not finished yet cos apparently Evelyn Laye actress and film star from ancient times used to live with her family in the Kings Arms in Wood Street
