Arts, crafts and such
- There may not be a specialist craft shop in swinton but 2 mins down the road in Mexborough there's a great one.
Everything you could possibly need...bit of an aladdins cave actually.

- Rachels Ceramics shop, thats about it
- I think the Jet Garage sells Cornflakes - the Boxes are great for making lifelike scale models
of Tanks,Boats,Cars and other "box" shaped vehicles - my personal favorite of which I'm rather
proud is a 1/14th Scale model of a neighbours 1976 Ford Cortina 2000E.
- The Thread Mill is a great shop, which sells many types of fabric including bridal as well as Haberdashery, Sewing, Cross-Stitch and many more crafts, quite cheap. Rachels a little further up Church Street lets you create your own masterpiece at a reasonable price. The Swinton Lock Adventure House near the canal does various activities for children and for adults.
- Swinton Comprehensive has an art section in the school. And a mysterious recent dissapearence of an excellent Kurt Cobain portrait. Hmmm....
- I don't think we do that kind of stuff round here... I'll ask around where I can find a craft shop n come n tell you later.
- street wise a new shop pretty cool sells shiney things, good alternative stuff
- well, there's usually something at the library, a bit twee, but the local sixthform has some good pieces exhibited there (I'm not one of them, honest!!) for a bit of culture, there's the potterypond kiln, or the rockingham collection at clifton park.
