• Swinton has wall to wall public houses. Just ask in your bestest "Rotherham" .... " where's Boozer owd Cock " ... The ever smiling locals will be eager to direct you to one of the many fine ale emporiums.
• Do not dare go in the Cresswell unless you want to be bored to death
• the cafe sport is the best, on a saturday it's bang on!! and the other pubs are ok, accept for the station..(full of dicks!)
• Many pubs. The best is probably The Station, though it can be a little hostile. Personally had no problems there though. The Travellers Rest is a good one aswell, though a little boring. It is very friendly though. Recommended for the out-of-towner.

• To reccomend pubs in swinton to anyone would be wrong, swinton is a harsh place full of many biggots ,tossers and raceists, many of whom tend to be out friday and saturday night looking for a fight, id say away go to sheffield!

• this is what swinton is famed for!!! the magic mile, starting at the woodman and finishing 13 pubs (and pints) later in the station! everyone's gotta do it, and hey, even our town looks pretty cool at the end of it!!
• The Swinton Run, a challenge taken up by many different generations of swintonions. All the pubs are within crawling distance, except the Woodman Inn! One other good point the run goes downhill...Start at 19:30hrs, you have to drink a pint in every one; Woodman Inn, Kings Head, Gate Inn, Ring O'bells, Travellers Rest, Robin Hood, Butchers Arms, Station Pub, Working Mens Club, The Rag 'Canal Bar', The Ship Inn, then back to the station for last orders...What a night.
• Ah, now for a place wiyh a population of 10-15,000[at a guess]swinton has a brilliant nt night life, with tha station ,the working mens, the canal bar,the ship,and the don all within a few hundred yards of each other.If its fanny you're after then try the canal bar or the station on a sat/sun.Note that the station has a higher class of bird, but the canal bar has a highly reccomended/well patronised shagging area outside! bring your mates,your wallet and some jonnies!!

• Loads, great on Friday and Sunday nights, can get a little packed though. Urm..The Station, Ship, Canal Bar, Working Mens Club, Red House, theres also loads of pubs further up like The Gate.
