- Swinton uswed to be the Skateboard Mecca of South Yorkshire ! The former Roxy Cinema was reopened as an indoor skateboard arena. Lastedabout eighteen months andthat was in the seventies. Its a squash/gym club now.
- There are a few hills - Picadilly road's quite steep - watch out for the grumpy old bloke
a third of the way down as he has a nasty habit of Grumbling and waving a Yard brush at you.
- The floor is a good place to start. Lots of young kids are emerging nowadays with skateboards and it seems the locals are setting up primitive traps to snare the 'gliding beasts'
