- Spiral staircase closed a couple of years ago, but art materials can be purchased at Mainly Stationery. The large gallery never opened and the space is now, planned for other uses.
'South West Crafts' next to the church is only local art and craft Gallery, showing the very best work from Devon Artists.
- The Town Hall occasionally holds art displays of different variety's, but they don't happen that often, and it's a bit of hit and miss really.
The Pannier Market has a weekly Arts and Crafts market, where people can sell their arty, crafty (and often expensive, but hey, most of the stuff is unique) wares.
- Art shops galore ,huge new gallery under construction to be opened in 2003
- Spiral Staircase: arty/crafty gifts downstairs; art equipment upstairs
- Pannier market - covered indoor market with loads of different stalls - some vary from day to day, others are "permanent" fixtures like bakers. Get some great cheap second-hand cd's occasionally.
guildhall has regular arty crafty fairs where people charge a couple of hundred for a stick with some feathers coming out of it because "it's art". Ok if you like that sort of thing.
