• New vicar very entertaining, very young and enthusiastic at the main C of E.
• My friend Melissa is the girl with the harp. There is a lovely homeless gentlmen who sells a book about his life. He is a legend here in Tavistock and everyone knows him.
• Watch out for the 'old people' in Tavistock. They have nothing better to do than invent more interesting ways to torture their neighbours and stalk school children telling them to tuck their shirts in. Put it this way, most of them are eccentric, but it's allowed cos we're in the country don'tcher'know! Get a lot more street entertainment in the winter months for some reason. Goose Fair involves the closing of the main street for it to be filled with stalls and fair rides, happens on the second Wednesday in every October. Dickensian Evening in December has it's fair share of fire-eaters, jugglers and starters (probably seeing as some of them don't seem to practice with real fire beforehand.
• A woman who plays a harp that is bigger than herself.
• There is some bloke with a zither that hangs out by the church a lot. He's very good.
