Sports Clubs and Facilities
- Meadowlands was once closed for several weeks due to contanmination. This occured when a boy from Zambia who was infected with AIDs entered the pool with an open wound. It is reported that Meadowlands tried to clear the infection with 300 litres of Harpic 2 in 1.

- Tavisock does have it's own football club, and even it's own football pitch, however I have no idea what league they're in, indeed even if there is a league which goes down that low. If you want to see a decent football match in a 'proper' stadium, youd be better checking out Plymouth Argyle who have a relatively new, hi-tech stadium and pretty good team too.
Tavistock has Meadowlands leisure pool, which isn't actually that great for training purposes as the focus is on 'family leisure' but there are dawn and evening lengths for adults, and also classes for children.
