I am currently searching my family tree and seem to be having difficulty locating info on the following: My ancestors came from either Tavistock or Gunnislake, my great grandfather was Albert J Hext born 1880,who married a woman called Elizabeth Williams from Wales, He left for Wales in the 1900's to pursue a career in stonemasonery. All I know about his departure is that he may have left fo llowing a family feud, leaving behind a cottage abandoned.He went on to have a daughter Morina Ellinor Hext born 1923 in Brynwyndam terrace, Rhondda, South Wales.My father Colin John Mackey says he has spoken to one member of the Hext family and he was a traffic warden in a very small untouched location either in Tavistock or Gunnislake.Although my info is patchy I hope someone can help.
