Skateboarding Spots

• Exeter Civic Centre steps & ledges are cool,
• Will Shannon is also right. Try the Ness road, but the surface was always pretty poor. The best surface in town was Barnpark Terrace, just long and smooth. Has anyone completed Breakneck Hill yet?
• Skate the SEAFRONT in Teignmouth!!!!It is sick for lines. The long marble hubba is good as it is so slippery and is on a slope so not much run up is needed. The surface is good along the seafront but there are some cracks to avoid. There are a lot of knee high ledges and the knee high walls all along the seafront is waxed and is great for grinds and slides. If you fancy doing a powerslide a large area of the floor is waxed. The wall has steps sticking out, they are a bit bigger than curbs and they are also good for grinds. As it is so long, your lines can be endless. There is a roof ledge, about waist high and is great for trying to pop large ollies off and tricks. There is a ledge over a small bush and you have to angle the ollie to land on the narrow pavement and ride away. There are also drop in walls, (you drop in at the top, ride down and drop off the wall at the end which is about knee high). This can be good fun as it brings some funny bails!!! There is also co-op underground car park which is always empty. The curbs are so waxed, there is a mannie pad and a pad which is about three curbs wide. This is good for ollieing over. So come visit tinmuf for a sesh, it is great fun......
• The seafront is amazing!!There is a marble 'Hubba' ledge, it is so slippery and on a slight slope so not much run up needed.Only problem is getting out. If you put a kicker to the side of it you could be able to roll out of it. also there are a lot of knee high ledges great for nailing tricks off. There are some concrete bloks along the side of the walls which are good for all kinds of grinds.Check it out, its great fun for a few hours skatin!!
• As I've been mentioned with John Haytread and Martin Tapper I thought I should tell you that the best skateboard site in 68 wasn't Maudlin drive but Ness drive, the thrill was seeing how far through Shaldon you could get before running out of steam. As it involves going through a one-way system at about 60mph I don't really reccomend it now, God knows how any of us are still alive! Will.
• In 1968 there was only me, Bill Shannon, Johnathan Haytread and a couple of others skateboarding in Teignmouth. The place is full of superb hills, there was no need of any skate park. Maudlin Drive is very difficult towards the New Road junction - just try it from the top and see how far you get.
• SEA FRONT, OR ANYWHERE

• The Seafront or Promenade... If any tourists complain at you just tell them that skaters are there all year round so have more right to be there. The seafront is also good for flatlanding, as they close the road to traffic in the summer leaving loads of space, so I suppose the skaters, tourist and Bikers can live in harmony.... Tourist stick to the promanade and Skaters and bikers can use the closed road.
• The promenade, acres of smooth pathing slab.
• ONCE A CARPARK, HAD A BIT SECTIONED OFF, WITH SOME ERR CONES AND TAPES... BUT THEN THEY PUT A MAN THERE TO "SUPERVISE"... QED... THAT WAS THE END OF THAT...AGAIN, THIS WAS IN 1978...
• Sadly The skateboard stuff at Broadmeadow is long gone. and Broadmeadow sports fields have now been closed to public use due to health hazards , methane and strichnene emissions and other medical problems..
• On the sea promenade you can guarantee that there will be a bunch of kids with a skateboard ramp, during the day or night.
• Broadmeadows Sports Centre, near Industrial Estate 20' wide, 10' trans, 7' high one side, 8' high with vert extension on other. Plan to add a mini spine plus snake run into a bowl, street area etc. Ramp needed re-surfacing October 90.
