| Have you managed to meet anyone yet?

by Phillip (Member 10227299) on 8-Jun-2008

It’s hard to make contact and sometimes you just feel you are sending endless mail upon mail and still hitting your head against a brick wall?
Successful Sex Networking is the solution!
(Plus real life stories!)
There is a new book on the market that blows wide open why these kinds of advertisements and email replies don’t work. It also explains the frustration of why there are thousands of swingers looking for males but cant find them. It’s written by swingers with 40 years experience of the scene well before computers were invented and no emails. Yet they have a had a successful swinging career. The author believes that’s what’s wrong now, because guys believe the Internet is the best and ONLY way? Many guys under the age of 35 years simply know no other way?
THEY DON’T DO SPAM! So if you wish to have the link to view the details of the book you must HIT THE REPLY button to this mail (no need to write anything) Then you will receive a link to view the details.
It is NOT a membership fee site. So just take a look whoever you are and whatever type of sex contacts you wish to connect with. Females? Couples? Males? TS? TV? It applies to all.

Whatever way I wish you the best of luck in your swinging fun! ... more >>

Hi.. I know this might come as a strange surprise, but I happen to be searching the internet when I came across your name and Marissa's on Knowhere. I don't know how your response will be towards my message.. I am really vague about how you take me as your half sister. But, nonetheless, I am hopeful that you will take it in a positive way. I haven't seen any of you since we last visited Texas when I was about 10 years old. Now, Im almost 30,& it would really mean so much if we could communicate even through e-mail at the least. Daddy passed away last July 19, 2005, I think you ought to know. I hope all personal matters in the past be water under the bridge. I am just happy to have found you here on the web, and I hope you will accept me as your sister and maybe say hello to andre and john too! This is surreal for me. I would greatly appreciate your response and it would mean a whole lot to know how you, julio, camille, carlos, marissa, andre and john have been. Hope to hear from all of you real soon and maybe get to see my nephews, nieces and all you guys even through pictures. You all take care... :-) ... more >>

| Looking For Raymond Whitehouse : Please Help!
|
by Layla (Member 10213591) on 17-Sep-2007
|
Does anyone know the current whereabouts of Raymond Whitehouse?
I have been trying to find him off and on for the past few years.
He worked at the Purple Penny arcade in Teignmouth around 1980 and may have also been running his own business 'Whitehouse Electricals' out of Bishopsteinton.
I would really appreciate anyone who could possibly put me in touch with him. I have been searching for so long.
Thank-you

More ‘Votes’ Than Evening Post – Bristol Indymedia – Publish Your News!
SOUTH WEST WELCOME!
PUBLISH YOUR NEWS
http://www.bristol.indymedia.org
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE ARTICLES - A Brief Guide
http://www.bristol.indymedia.org/newswire.php?story_id=25376
Bristol Indymedia now routinely gets more 'Votes' than the Evening Post ‘This Is Bristol’ website, according to the Google PageRank method! If you do a 'Bristol' on UK Google, Bristol Indymedia comes out at around 7th - 8th place, and jostles for position with the 'This Is Bristol' website. Join in with the movement to democratise Bristol’s corporate dominated media landscape; Publish Your News Now! It's only a click away! Click the 'Submit An Article' button and your story will appear on the right-hand newswire within minutes of posting.
BRISTOL INDYMEDIA - Read It, Write It, Your Site, Your News...
http://www.bristol.indymedia.org
PUBLISH YOUR NEWS
(South West Welcome)
http://www.bristol.indymedia.org/publish.php
Even though our newswire carries the banner 'Read It, Write It, Your Site, Your News...' it seems that not everyone is yet aware that this means exactly what it says. The 'Submit An Article' button, in the top-right corner, takes you to our article submission form. All you need to do is fill in all the form, click the 'Preview Before Publishing' button at the end of the form, to check it looks ok, and then click 'Edit Again' or the 'Publish!' button. If you have any problems filling out the form, or with uploading articles, please see our brief guide above.
PUBLISH YOUR EVENT
(South West Welcome)
http://bristol.indymedia.org/whatson/calendar.php
If you have an event to promote you can use our calendar too. Again, just like with the newswire, all you need to do is click 'Add Your Event' and follow the instructions, and your event will be immediately displayed in the calendar. If your event has an interesting report attached to it, then you can turn that into an article too, on the main newswire, to go with your calendar entry.
GUIDELINES
Only if your article is outside of, or breaks, guidelines will it be moved from the right-hand newswire.

Can anyone tell me what exactly is happening in the middle of Teignmouth with the row of shops being pulled down. the old sweet shop is no more.
what is happening now?????
- Re: Town Centre
by Steve Carter (Member 10158586) on 12-Jul-2005
No idea whats happening to ye olde sweet shoppe dude. Can you tell me the actual name of the night club in Northumberland Place. Last time I was in Teignmouth it was called Sticky Banana but the name has changed so often since I moved away from the town. Everyone only calls it "Club" anyway so I don´t know why they bother.
- Re: Town Centre
by Jeanette Murphy(nee Bruford) (Member 10118382) on 20-Jul-2005
Hi. I also do not live in the town now. I do however visit quite often.
As far as I know the clubs are
Force 8 and Hot Bananas.
Hope this helps. So long dude!!!

Hello to all those who attended the Teignmouth Secondary School Reunion last weekend.
I would like to say many thanks to Marcia and Alan and all others involved in organising the event.
I personally enjoyed the evening, it was great meeting old school mates.
The biggest surprise for me was meeting up with our headmaster and 2 other teachers. Mr Martin Sir, you looked exactly as I remembered you, it was wonderful to talk to you after all these years.
Thanks once again. I look forward to the next one!!! ... more >>

| Juvenile Diabetes
|
by Katie Smiles (Member 10143498) on 22-Feb-2005
|
|
otherwise known as Type 1 diabetes is on the increase in children. Children with diabetes have lost the ability to produce insulin because the cells in the pancreas that produce it have been destroyed. Without insulin, the child's body cannot use glucose and there the blood glucose level will rise. When this happens, the excess glucose will leak into the urine causing frequent passing of urine and increased thirst. Because the body cannot use glucose, fat is broken down instead, leading to weight loss. Therefore, a child with undiagnosed and untreated diabetes will show symptoms of thirst, frequent trips to the loo, weight loss and tiredness Treatment of diabetes Diabetes cannot be cured, but it can be treated effectively. Children with diabetes will have treatment consisting of: insulin injections and appropriate diet. The aim of this treatment is to keep the blood glucose level close to the normal range so that the blood glucose is neither too high (hyperglycaemia) nor too low (hypoglycaemia). How to recognise hypoglycaemia:
hunger
sweating
drowsiness
pallor/gloomy
glazed eyes
shaking
mood changes/lack of concentration
How to treat hypoglycaemia Fast acting sugar should be given immediately. This will raise the blood glucose level. It is most important that you do not send a child who is hypo unaccompanied to get sugary food. Always make sure that they are accompanied.
Examples of fast acting sugars are:
Lucozade
Sugary drink, eg Coke, Fanta (not diet drinks)
Mini chocolate bar
Fresh fruit juice
Glucose tablets
Honey or jam

I was born and breed in this town I hear that so much is being done but nothing is done the councillers say what we need and what they intend but again nothing, its not so bad for me as I am in the over 60 part but still feel that we do need to sort out the town for the next lot that are coming along when I was young there was not a lot to do but we made the best of it but now the young are not al lowed to do much without getting the thin edge of the wedge, what we need is for the young people to come up with what is required and to get in touch with the local council and ask for some action...... what say you fokes ??

Yes Fred I agree with you. I had a brilliant childhood in Teignmouth but I dont think there was much to do for older kids then. The Ventureres is now closed.Whats really depressing is that Boris Johnsons old man wants to stand for the local MP. God another nail in the coffin. The town could be brill. If people with flair and imagination took over. Renovate the Riviera ( keeping the facade) make it a leisure complex. ? Small cinema ? Bowling, skateboarding ? No doubt the
site of the Ivy will be about selling to the highest bidder for more retirement flats. Wake up

Hi All it is sad to hear abouth the Ivy House being demolished for yet more flats. Also now The London Hotel has been sold for that purpose aswell. The London Is a very old building having been around since the 18th Century I believe. I last stayed there in September and heard rumblings then about it being sold and turned into yet again more flats. And I was sad to heard about the demise of The Carlton Theatre (Den Pavilion) We use to do our performances there from the Follies. My cousin's son is also sad as he belongs to the Tykes and they have put on numerous play's ect over the years, where are they going to have to go now? I do believe in change and moving forward but as someone mentioned are the people of the town ever consulted about these changes. ... more >>
