I am researching the Davis family, formerly of Lower Nash, who became tenants of Dean Park in Boraston Township in 1822 and were there till the early 20th Century. Looking for anyone who knew or has information on Ernest Wright and his wife Linda Dorothea Wright who lived in Church Street from approx 1940 to 1968. Ernest worked for a local engineering company I think it was called Steward Lloyds or sumthing like that, Linda was a active member of the local Womens Institute. They had one son John who married Rosemary Catherine Elizabeth Johnson John and his wife and two sons Emigrated to Australia in May 1965. I spent my school holidays at my Aunt and Uncles house in the years around 1954 to 1958 and remeber having great fun fishing in the river Teme down by the bridge that leads you into Tenbury Wells, collecting conkers and cycling around the local area, in those long hot summers. Trying find the whereabouts or any information on Pat (nee) Evans. Pat's family home was in Albert St. Kidderminster, Worcestershire - she lived there during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Pat was the only child of Bill and Mary (nee Gwilliam). She was a ladies hairdresser by occupation and during early 1960's worked in an upstairs Salon at the junction of Blackwell and Coventry St's, in Kidde rminster. Back in the 1850's, my Great grandfather, William Perrigo, was the landlord of the MASON'S ARMS in Tenbury. Does anyone what happened to it. Is it still operating? It was on the corner of Saltbox Lane. He was in The Black Cross after that. This is now an Abbeyfields house at Market Square. Quote from sale from Rev Ayscough Smith to Septimus Godson "All that messuage for some time used as a Public House known by the sign of ye Cross Inn being in All Holland Street[now Church St] and near ye market Cross formerly in occupation of John Evans and now of Wm Perrigo" Presumably this had been also called The Masons Arms. Does anyone know of a connection between the REECE family and a house called "THE HAGGETTS" at Rochford? Possibly my great-grandfather was married either to a member of the household or a relative of the family. Great grandfather- surname REYNOLDS, lived in Tenbury Wells around 1880. Also,does anyone know of a stretch of water..."the Welsh Hay"? Unsure of spelling but unable to find it on map. Please does anyone know of Sheila Mary Vaughan b 1936 known to have been in the Brize Norton area in 1954/55. She had 2 small daughters called Charlene and Angie I think. Sheila left for USA in 1955 but was believed to have returned to England a couple of years later. If anyone knows anything at all about this family please get in touch! Reply

I am looking for my half brother who would be approx. 56 -57 yrs old now. During WWll, 1943 - 44, my father, Robert " Gordon " Cole was stationed at Aldershot. He was a gunnar instructor in the Canadian Armored Corps. While there he would go into London on his leaves and whether it was in London or in Aldershot, he met a love. Her name was possibly Emma, we are not quite sure on this name. We can only hope that son was told of his father and given him his name to know.
