- If you visit Morrisons on a Sunday morning, you will sometimes be entertained by an old geezer who likes to sing to the checkout girls. Not a bad voice, if you like that sort of thing.
- There used to be a shopping bag lady force feeding the ducks and rats bread by the canal but she doesn't seem to be there any more. Perhaps the crocodiles got her.
- Multicultural area of many races. Its a rough place, and alot of people that live in Thamesmead have attitude problems. Also plenty of criminals to rob u, vandalise the area, or steal ur car and leave it in flames at the end of the street.
