• they only show the 18th century films you know the ones in black and white
• its rubbish it has one screen
• the ritz very crap. my boyfriends surround sound is louder. but they have good seats though n a new floor.

• Wot that portable tv and video at the town end. You call that a cinema!!!!!
• The Ritz is in the process of transforming itself from utter throwback fleapit to utter throwback fleapit with a nice sound system. The films shown are fairly recent (gone are the days when they showed Crocodile Dundee back to back for six weeks), but i challenge anyone over 3 feet tall to sit there for a whole show. Seating that uncomfortable is probably banned by the Geneva Convention.

• The Ritz now has Dolby Surround Sound. No need to go to the Multiplexes at Teesside Park, or Clifton Moor. Plus it's a lot cheaper 'cos it's run by volunteers for the community... not just to make profit. (volunteers always wanted)
• A great tradional local cinema - well worth supporting, even features double 'courting' seats upstairs near the back. Films tend to be mainstream though.
