• North Yorkshire Smallholders Society. “Advice and information for the smallholders of North Yorkshire.” Based in Pickhill near Thirsk We are a group set up to help the smallholders of North Yorkshire and the North East of England. If you keep sheep, pigs, hens or horses, grow vegetables or any other small farming activity then this could be the society for you. You don’t have to be a land owner or a business as long as you have an interest in rural activities that you are willing to share with others. Our aims are to bring together people of similar interests, to share information and advice, help each other to save money by reducing costs and to make friends. We have a quarterly newsletter where you can read articles of interest to the smallholder, advertise your articles or produce for sale and find others with similar interests in our members interests directory.
