  • Hi to the new owners of the Crown sad to hear Mark had sold up as you could always get a late one there. Good luck to Mark an Family and best wishes to all regulars, you know who you are Geoff, Coxy, Force, McGrath, Boulter(a legend in his own Liver)
  • What do you mean no late night drinking? The Crown used to be open till all hours under the previous landlord. The Rose&Crown did always smell of piss but always of the northern type.
  • The Bell scared me, all the ghostie stories, pre-fire ball, am still in therapy so haven't been back since
  • well supplied well managed mostly locals who know each others (shared)?) ancestry for several generations - unless they are restraunt /brassarie/wine bars in which case see "food" for comments
  • Bell Hotel - just been re-furbished after a fire - have not been in since then, The Crown - Sposed to be nice food The Rose and Crown - smells of wee The Olive Branch - nice bar, faily modern and nice staff - serve mostly fish which is very good.
  • Used to be five. Two at present and one being rebuilt after a fire. Friendly local pups where everyone knows everyone else, and knows all there business.
