- We normally go up to the lonesome bench at the top of "that" hill - yes THAT one - at Phoenix Park. Here we normally shoot up, get pissed and generally give each other aids.

- thurnscoe is not that bad the deals on resin are but you can get some good monkey every1 r no smokes the weed in thurnscoe it like a mini amsterdam but y avoid the bobbys
- There will be a Charity Concert at the Thurnscoe Hill School on Wednesday 26th November starting at 1900, The Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir, The barnbugh Ladies Choir and the Children of The Hill school will be performing, Admission is £4 for Adults £2 for children, there will be a Free Raffle and Refreshments, the performance is to Raise Funds for a memorial to 500 babies buried in a Plot in Thurnscoe Cemetery, Tickets can be purchased at the door or contact Peter Shields by email at petershields184@hotmail.com. - Up Merrill, through the field and up to Bluebell Wood and Clayton.
- UP AT CAVEWOOD WHERE LOCAL RESIDENTS MEET UP TO HAVE FUN AND GAMES
- in the late 70s and early 80s me and some mates used to be on the market stalls on a night with all the young birds some time before this there used to be a little cafe on the markets somewhere for the teenagers to hang out a new one of these wouldnt go a miss in the village
- the pit youth(the old pit baths)the rec on sundays for football and the older people will remember were hicklton court iswas wide open feilds kids used to play on the old train lines to get to the orange waters
- the market stalls was a great place to hang out untill you got moved by the police.then it was off to the train station or the pit lane.
the library was for slappers waiting for cars to pull over.
spa park and the comp youth or even the pit youth club.
- round near the Fairway and the shops well that is where people in the top end used to hang out. not that I ever did
- Broughs corner phone box where the BMX crew hang out in all weathers at night. (right laugh?)
