- Isn't it amazing, just how many people DON'T actually 'make it' from this town? Not. Lenny Henry came from Dudley just up the road (and balks on about it even though he hasn't been there long enough to stand still). Most people that do escape the confines of the depressing, dark, phosphate prison simply rely on their accent to raise awareness of themselves - it certainly does turn heads. In the opposite direction.
