Cinemas
- Since the independent cinema's have been practically ran out of our towns and cities, the closest one is near Dudley. Getting there can be a problem with the traffic and the prices of the food are rip-off (there's a McDonald's and Tesco nearby). There is talk of building a big cinema in West Bromwich. But you have to ask yourself - would you want to pay these prices to see Hollywood rubbish? You won't find any European films, and Tipton isn't renowned for making the big screen other than for failure or suspected terrorism (Tipton Taliban). Therefore your choice is well, very limited despite the size of these complexes and the claims they make of offering real choice. It's upto you, but be prepared to pay through the nose especially if it's a preview of special screening. The big fat American corporations seem to care little about choice or taste..

- Stay inside. The trip to the cinema near Dudley isn't worth it: poor transport facilities, too many yobs roaming the streets and prices that would make a millionaire blush. Not worth it here, much like any activity that's considered normal in other parts of the world..
- The new cinema near Dudley. Have you seen the rip-off prices they're charging for having the "privilege" of wanting a social life..
- well theres a big 12 screen showcase cinemas jus opened up the road u could walk there in bout 5 mins safe nice n clean 4 a while tilits been opened a it longer then see wot happens
- There's a new one being built up the raod at the island near Dudely. though to be honest I wouldn't exactly relish the idea of sharing my space with some of the clientel they let in such places. Tipton people know what I'm talkimg about..
- I wouldn't go to a cinema here if they were free; the mentality one experiences in such establishments beggers belief. There is one planned for Burnt Tree near towards Dudley, but the developers were obviously not aware of the yocal mindset based on voilence and anti-social chaos. The only way to effectivly get such people to behave is to distribute straight-jackets before the film starts..and tape to seel their mouths up.
- Don't forget The Kings at West Brom. (bit of a dive though).
- You have to go to Wolverhampton, Merry Hill or Birmingham to see
films. Either way this adds train or bus fare to your entrance
ticket :(
- Not in Tipton
