The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- We lived in this village for over thirteen years. It is a typical small village where many locals think that there is nowhere like it. We would agree. When we were about to leave someone said we wouldn't find anywhere like it - HOORAY! You can speak to people you have just met in most other places and when they see you again they will acknowledge you and exchange pints. After thirteen years in Tollesbury you could walk into either of the pubs and the number of people who would fall under this category you could count on one hand. To get this in the under thirty fraternity is very sad - they should all leave and get a life!!! Definitely a nice place to visit in the summer, but as an ex resident - a nice place to come from not to go to (unless of course you like the feeling of walking into the living room of someone you don't know). The description can be summed up simply - if you were born there you have ongoing amnaesia which you need to forget that most people are your cousin and anyone else "just ain't blood" a deliverance experience!
- We aren't all a bad lot here and when the sun shines Tollesbury is great. We have bloody good barbies too!
