• Went to a restaurant called the Red Snapper. Supposed to be carribean food. Nice restaurant, really nice staff. The food was nice. It just wasnt carribean.

• aha! pappa's in paignton is good, so is the balti bazzar. in torquay castle grill is a popular late night burger/kebab pick up.

• For the best breakfast in town and one of the cheapest go to Torquay Station Cafe. Eat yer Bacon and Eggs on the platform tables and take the train numbers lol! Sunday Roasts too! Yum Yum Talk of the Town Paignton best for carvery's any day of the week. Beer dear tho so have a few across the road at Henrys pub first when its Happy Hour! Best Indian Take Away is the Spice Cellar in Mill Rd Chelston. Cooked fresh and delivered to your door if u want. Highly Recommended
• hooks is quality, damn god seafood platter, just up from claires. jingles is alright but expensive
• Howlers Torre.......Superb, The Spicey and Meow in Mill Lane for Indian and Chinky.
• hongs queensway chelston best take away, ali b's north african food torwood street, cross road from bowling alley, excellent one corner of nut bush road and the avenue um !!
• Terrific Mexican Restaurant called 'Amigos' - just off the main High Street. The owner spent 2 years in Mexico learning how to cook properly, and my fiancee (who has eaten Mexican from Streatham to Yucatan via New York) reckons that it is some of the best Mexican she has ever eaten!
• Cafe Mojos on sea front - very relaxing, average food, good views Al Bebs - the only cultural place in Torquay - a mixture of Arabic and Meditteraenean food and they do sheesha pipes there at £5 a time!!!! Fantastic! Belly dancing is optional. Jingles - Mexican - massive menu and always busy so book well in advance!
• errrrrr Crispins got great chips in Chelston The Spice Cellar - Chelston
• Excellent deli in Torre by the small park that is the preserve of veteran alcoholics, ie they quietly drink themselves into oblivion without abusing the local populace or fighting. I recommend the mixed salami and cheese baton.
• Annie's Thai restaurant just off Fleet Street
• Camelot! Yum! Big food on wooden platters.
• Great choice of the usual take-aways, restaurants. A great variety of good and bad, like any town.
• Jingles, in Torwood Street (just up from the harbour) is a texmex restaurant offering a a good range of food and drink, including various strains of tequila and Red Stripe by the pint. A good fun food place with a party atmosphere for a great night out.

• All the major Yankee junk-food vendors are represented in Torquay. McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut etc all have a prescence in the town centre. Also some small independent fish n' chip and seafood outlets (Torquay's by the sea after all!)
