  • We have been running a fantastic record shop for 4 years... Katalyst Records Totnes. We stock Reggae and Dub, dnb, breakbeat, hiphop, electronica and house amongst others... CDs and CD packs as well as an extensive vinyl selection for DJs. Now our lease is up and we need new premises. but we shall still exist on the internet and via our phoneline... 0845 4565448!
  • Hey guys. I run the shop that i think is referred to on your site as "quite nice at the top of top with good prices..." - So ta ! - We’re called World Video & Music (www.worldvideoandmusic.com) and we are the ONLY supplier of independent music outside Bristol. We regularly stock music from Warp, Ninja Tune and other leaders in independent music. We have also long stocked artists from around the world like Manu Chao, Café Del mar and the excellent Hotel Costes collections. We also rent films, sell posters and tee’s – so check us out for more of our stuff, and visit us online at www.worldvideoandmusic.com.
  • That place on the Plains is OK...gets loads of imports and stuff
  • wh smith
  • woolworths and safeway
  • Only woolworths and safeways really, you would'nt be able to open up a virgin megastores or anything, its agianist the totnes tradition, Oh i wish they would get into the real world.
  • Back tracks- they can order you stuff too!
  • coral cave, dreadful, utterly utterly dreadful
  • Well there's one on the Plains, but honestly just forget it.
  • Weird second hand music shop up the top. Sells guitars too, sometimes some very unusual ones. Homemade resonator anyone?
  • Well theres Coral Cave which ain't the best, for many reasons that everyone knows, but you have Happy Apple whos rocks the boat of weird shops! with wacky and cool staff they are by far the best!
  • Really nice little shop at the top of town, cant think of the name but the prices are excellent.
  • Totnes is pap for CD's. There are a few collectors type shops but I have never found anything interesting in any of them.
