Does anyone know of a Harold Smith? Would be around 90yrs if still alive. Our last trace was found in 1955 but know of him to have lived in the area in the 70's. Long shot I know but if anyone know's of someone who might know? Thank you! Reply

I am looking for Maxine Wells(maiden name)aged now about 52/53 who lived in St Pauls Road Tottenham and went to St Katherines School in White Hart Lane (Pertoria Road)and I Somerset School oposite her school,she had two sisters named Gill & Linda her mum Pauline dad Arther lived upstaires in the house and her nan & auntie may lived in the flat downstairs I dont want to cause any trouble if she is married now I'm not that type of person it just I heard she had some bad luck and I know I havent seen her since about 197? somthing and I wanted to know if she was OK and still living in area,when we was very young(secondary school age) she ment a lot to me and when we loss contact it was a shame it would be nice to know she is OK if any one knows can they leave a message on here or even her leave a message please Thanks ... more >> Reply

Doing a "this is Your Life" Book for my parents 70th birthday. Need help from Tottenham locals! My mum Maureen Paskell lived in Collingswood Rd with her brother Fred and parents Marge and George.She worked at Lebus furniture and met my dad John Robson at Lorrilux and Bolton printing inks. My dads family lived in Langham Rd his siblings were Lydia, Peter, Betty and Marion and their parents Loui sa and Albert Robson. Im trying to do a memory book on their lives and wondered if anyone knew them or had any old photos or memories they can share of the schools (7 sisters/southgrove) or companies they worked at? anyone remember the Care home Hever Warren my email blueyonder2011@live.com Re: Hevr Warren by Lyn Tubman (Member 10263308) on 13-Jul-2011 if you are talking about Hever Warren, the childrens home, then yes I remember it, I left there in 1967, and 7 years ago I went back there to have a look and to take my husband, to see where I grew up, it's not a Children's home any longer and Jean Groombridge is still there living in the cottages where the Freemans used to live. The actual childrens home is now private homes, but I did get to go in the back door that lead to the Kitchen and the indentation is still there in the hall from all the kids over the years. I do hope that this is for the kids home, as I have been trying to get in touch with anyone who was there, Edenbridge school has closed down also which was a shame as it looked like it used to, if you want to get hold of me privately then my e_mail is lyntubman@msn.com , I look forward to hearing from you ... more >> Reply

Hi, I know this is a huge longshot, but I'm looking for a couple that lived in Phillip Lane in the 70's, 74 to be precise. They lived above the old butchers, I think it was 264 or 268. Their names were Anne and Malcolm (if my memory serves well). They lived in the first flat and we lived above them in the top flat. I was 8 years old at the time, and not having a very good childhood. They were a lways there for me, I loved going down to their flat and spending time with them, watching Malcolm clean his fish tank and listening to records (memories). I appreciate that they'd be elderly now (if still here) but would love to find them, just to see how they are but most of all, thank them for having time for me when no-one else did.
