• Why does Trimley have two churches?
• The discription of Trimley was not exactly correct, there is plenty to do if you look. Most people do not know that Trimley has a cricket club that plays in the village. The local pub The Mariners has live music most Saturdat nights, also Trimley as one of the most successful junior basketball clubs in the area.
• Trimley is a schizophrenic town - havinfg the personalities of Trimley St Martin and Trimley St Mary - both are crap.
  • Trimley St Mary is nearer to Felixstowe, and thus retains a tad more credibility. It is separated from Felixstowe by Walton, the site of an ancient Roman fort, and reputedly the last place in the uk the romans left from...
  • Trimley St Martin is further removed, and thus a tad more snobby. It was once described by one of my friends as the centre of the universe... no wonder the world is in such a mess if people believe this!
  • There is an active - and well known locally - junior football club in Trimley, the Trimley Red Devils. They run teams from the age range of 'under 8' to 'under 16' in local leagues and regional competitions. They also take part and organise international tournaments.
