DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE GRIMSTON HALL WAS MOVED TO? I USE TO LIVE THERE AS A CHILD IN 1953 AND AM NOW DOING A RESEARCH ON MY CHILDHOOD HOME. I FOUND OUT THAT THOMAS CAVENDISH USE TO LIVE THERE IN THE 1500'S AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE OF HIS STAY THERE AND ALSO WHO ELSE LIVED THERE. THIS IS ALL VERY FASINATING TO ME. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE IS SO MUCH HISTORY. MY MOM SAID THAT A BOBY TOLD HER THAT T HERE WAS A SECRET TUNNEL THAT THE PIRATES USE TO COME THREW TO GET TO THE HOUSE. SHE HAD NEVER TOLD ME THAT BEFORE NOR DID SHE KNOW OF SIR CAVENDISH. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A MUSEIUM OF ANY FINDINGS OF GRIMSTON HALL? DID ANYONE EVER FIND ANY TREASURES THERE? There is a new website (Felixweb.net)with lots of info for the Felixstowe area, It's still under construction, but it looks quite good so far. Has anyone else seen this site yet? If you have a business, company, club or organisation its well worth taking a look, they list all for free!, theres also a "whatson guide" which looks quite good as well. Don't forget to support your local carnval and make this years eventthe best we have ever had. We don't want to loose it so use it! It starts at 1.30pm in Faulkeners Way on Saturday 21st July. The procession moves onto High Road and finishes on the field at Trimley Sports & social club. Kevin Beattie will be opening the show and presenting the prizes. There are lots of stall, entertainment and food for the afternoon. If anyone can spare an hour or two on the day please let me know. We would welcome any help or new members for the committee for the 2002 canival. I am looking for my stepbrother who would be 56 57 yrs old. During WWll, 1943 - 44, my father, Robert "Gordon" Cole was stationed at Aldershot, He was a gunnar instructor in the Canadian Armored Corps. When there he would go into London on his leaves and it was either in London or in Aldershot, he met a love. Her name was possibly Emma, on which we are not quite sure. we can only hope that son was told of his father and given him his name to know. If you are having problems with the Child Support Agency (CSA) or think you may be about to be contacted by them, please get in touch with me at Graham.Bowden@NACSA.ORG.UK Or on (01394) 285066 / www.gakworld.co.uk "help & ad vice" or see http://www.nacsa.org.uk for the UK website Advice can be given on all issues including: How to fill in MEF's (maintanence enquire form). What not to do when the CSA contact you. What to do if they have not handled your case properly or will not reply to letters. DNA testing. etc. Housing , wages, overtime, access to your children, any issue that concerns the CSA and your children. The support group (NACSA SUFFOLK)is friendly and welcomes all Men & Women alike, meeting will be held in Felixstowe on a regular basis, and will cover the Suffolk Area in general. We visited your part of the world recently to visit Minsmere and the concert hall at Snape Maltings. We thought the area was beautiful and would love some more time there to continue exploring. We live in London and wondered if anyone might consider a house swap for the occasional weekend. We could meet first and establish some rapport and who knows, it might be terrific!! Reply
