The Best Things
- the night life... walking down the main high street, seeing loads of people you know as T Wells is a small place, hanging round the restaurants such as supranos in the pantiles, summer nights outside in Zapatas ...running around the forum when i was younger..pissing in front of the CCTV and knicking beer glasses in spoons.. trolley dashing through the precinct and car parks.. i will really miss T Wells when i go off to uni.
- Inusurgence @ Polskie Lane!!
- The whole area is beautiful. The men and women generally are good looking. There are loads of facilities, excellent pubs and restaurants and it has great links to Brighton and London if you dont like the clubs. There is more clubs now then ever there was. Its a beautiful area and stunning.
- Trinity has some great shows, as does the Assemble Hall though they're more bigger events than indie theatre. The fact that you can be in the middle of town one minute and in nice woodland the next. The unspoken artistic people about - there is creativity there, it's just a shame most people have to leave to do anything with it.
- dunorlan park - the boating lake is fab - and the cafe good
and you can get to see live sex if you are lucky/kinky
- hanging out with mates having laughs at places like the clock and the rocks and calverly and obviously the forum
- sitting in calverley eating mr men ice lollies and playing in the grove on the swings and, of course, THE RVP!
the forum is one of the best things too.
- skating and booze
- The Pantiels and Calverly
- Planet Carnival
- My favourite thing about Tunbridge Wells is the fantastic library. It is even open on Sundays! They don't just stock musty old books now, they have new ones too- plus videos, DVDs, CDs and you can use the internet FOR FREE. You can get a coffee for 40p and the staff are lovely, especially the Ashton Kutcher look-alike...09/03/06

- TWGGS...but I dont complain about much. Theyve got a new canteen and the huts are being abandoned. My grandmother remembered those huts for fucks sake!
- The Wellington Rocks, especially the bit where your feet get stuck.
- Rural Environment.
Near London and the coast.
- the shops and bars
- Parks, beautiful surrounding villages, pubs and restaurants, St Augustine's Catholic Church, a great local newspaper the Tunbridge Wells Courier, cinema and good cultural centres, massive investment planned for the museum, go-ahead given for a new hospital - so expect superb healthcare after 2010. Tunbridge Wells people aren't stuck up, we're a nice bunch who can laugh at our image. I love the retired colonel image anyway - up the empire!! But I also think the 30-somethings in TW are great - and many have come from good local schools and enjoy the diversity in the town.
- the growing amount of paganism in the town- big it up!! our school loo had a pagan wall, until they painted over it a couple of weeks ago. i know of no particular hang out for this though. i love the rocks- it's great now noone goes, you can just sit up there and roll arund.

- The fact that you know so many people when you walk through town and are out on a weekend night and yet there are still hundreds of places you can walk to and not see anyone. It's got it all.
- It is close to London Brighton and Hastings. Decent countryside. Easy to get out of.
- sitting in calverly on a sunday afternoon in summer..... going out to the rocks and skinning up whilst the sun goes down.... watching bands in the forum..... shopping..... eating at zapata's or jaffle's.... barbecues in the summer.... chaplin's with the log fire in the winter.... dunorlan, hiring boats in the spring and sledging when it snows.... used to be going to the abc cinema, i'm so sad it shut!.... friends, stacking it off skateboards, pushing each other in trolleys, rolling down hills, stealing from 24 hour garages, playing videogames... it's all tunny wells stuff.
- soooo many fit boys therethey are all what u lot call "chavs" but then again if u saw me u would call me 1.
- nice men on the weekends, good shops, lots of shoe/trainer shops.
- Summer in the Park
- The mettelers grungers and everybody else who hates CHAVS! The chavs are all gay anyway!!!!!
- uMMMMMM well der is alot 2 do nd lotsa fit skinner ppl who turn on us twggs girls!
- Lizzie, The mass of oddly clothed youths, Smack heads ..... rich kids on drugs and mad old people. Mad Dave killing every one on the last train from T.W's to Sevenoaks of an eve (unless he kills you).
The parks are v.pretty , and the Wells are too yummy water.. I love the Pantiles.
- Getting drunk and then staggering down The Pantiles.
- The fact that you can walk along the highstreet at certain times of the day and see yourself on the local news.
- the feeling you get of freedom and escape when you leave. and the fit birds
- The Guinea Butt .... hummm.... a traditional pub with a twist.... I luv it !!
- ice cream . alcohol. boys and calverly
- Most of the women are good looking and pleasant. Hence why I am getting married to one.
- My friends, my house, the park, the bandstand and the cafe on sunday morning!
- We have a decent range of shops in town which can't be said for the likes of places like Tonbridge or Hastings. We're in a good location as the seaside and London are'nt that far away.
- Dunorlan Park is lovely and there aren't any chavs there (unlike Calverly).
Most of the town is actually quite pretty.
Easy to go somewhere better - i.e. London or Brighton.
- It's not Tonbridge
- Not a lot really, just the amount of pubs. And my mates, they're cool!!
- Roger's three way Cafe in Silverdale, best fry-up in town.
- STeam railway for tourists....nowhere to skate or hang out. Not much really
- Remembering bikes, mcdonalds and the village inn in the early '80s but not actually living there any more.
- chillin in calvarly in the summer
- Efe's Kebab shop - free lollies (according to the girls at work!!!!!!!)
Cash and Romeo on the door at the (litten) tree - will have a laugh and yet be still menacing!
- Friday Nights in Forum Woods
- That thing that your Mum does with her thighs - ooooh weee!
- SKATERS
- Watching the World Cup then chilling out in the bars and pubs or out on the pantiles, fantastic.
- Go into town and you bump into abot a million people you know which can be quite nice sometimes!!
- It's not Tonbridge.
- The daffoils on the main road in from langton,East grinstead and groombridge sadly only in the spring thereafter a bare expanse please plant something for the summer!
- good coffee and 'Spoons on a Wednesday night.
- The lack of clubs just means that the pubs are better to make up for it.
- toad rock, Victorians would go there when Tunbridge Wells was fashionable. Great fun for kids, big rocks to climb, sand to get covered in, my favourite place to go as a child.
- The best things in life are free.....Harrisons, Bowles and Denny rock outcrops
and of course the High Rocks .....rope up with yer mates (lasses too) and dangle
all day...take a barbie, a few cans too, a smoke and its off to the back woods....
..great scenery...great laughs...stay the whole week-end...ain't no one gonna
bother you....except the midges...so throw another log on.
- The style and atmos, you only realise this when you leave.
- Lying on the rocks, with your mates, and a new pack of fags, in the constant sunshine, having drunk all the tea you can, and having bought all the records you can afford at the Longplayer.
- the charming Victorian`s and down to earth people.
- The Pantiles, a tourist trap during the day, but reclaimed by the townspeople after sundown. The perfect place to have an open air drink in the evening, when the pubs spill out onto the walks and the drinkers colonise every flat surface available.
- The Common - an expanse of heath and woodland in the centre of town, interspersed with rock outcrops. (see hook ups above).
- A Day at the Wells - a multimedia history experience on the Pantiles. Sounds tacky, but is actually rather good, and the artificial stables smell has to be inhaled to be believed.
- High Rocks - They're rocks. They're high. They have a pub next to them.
- Toad Rock - It's a rock. It looks like a toad. It has a pub next to it.
- Trinity Arts Centre - a theatre converted from a church with an imaginative programme.
- One of the best places to go in Tunbridge Wells is Laser Quest, a state of the art laser game (01892) 544533. It is open from 9am to 11pm and is well worth a bash if you feel in need of some serious fun.
